So, if Blizzard were to call this new DIABLO 3 class DEADLY HUNTER. You couldn't find a reason to complain about it? Perhaps you'd say they have an old arena title with "deadly" in it!
Beyond the stupid name and the cheesy trailer? Not really. At that point they wouldn't be clearly taking multiple elements of Warcraft Demon Hunters and putting them in D3. As it is though they are taking the name, dual weapons, and glowing golden eyes (with a deep hood replacing the concealing effect of the bandages). They aren't trying to be subtle about it at all.

Meh, seems to me that you just don't like that the new class is called "demon hunter". There's been classes that dual-wield weapons and have glowing eyes for a long time.

Ok, name another CLASS like that, because you haven't done that yet at all.
See if you can find one that is also called a Demon Hunter.
For the record, I don't mind dual weilding at all, and I've played many classes that do that. The dual-crossbows that fire like pistols thing is silly, however, as are the lines in the Demon Hunter vid. THIS video, in particular, did not impress me at all.

I wasn't to impressed either, kinda looks dated as well. Eh, the cata cinematic was pretty mediocre too. Oh well, gameplay is what matters.
To be honest I am not really impressed, does look cool yes it does but after that the entire thing makes me say "meh". StarCraft 2 was suppose to shake the world, after one week of playing I have yet to login since I wanted it for the single player story that was it. Diablo 3 seems to be going the same direction for me.

The mention of arena pvp left a bitter taste in my mouth. More E-sport focus for Blizzard. Ah well, I've always been a diablo fan, I'll have fun in this one as well.
SC2 felt like SC1 to me, granted how different can a RTS be from one another. The mention of a DoTA map for SC2 does pique my interest a bit.
While I am getting a little tired of the e-sport focus for all of their games, there's nothing I can do about it. Plus, I don't have to participate in those activities.

There's been a tremendous amount of innovation in RTS games since SC1 came out. SC2 feels like SC1 because they ignored all of that innovation and differentiation.
The signs all point to crap. We waited and they put out all that hype for some knockoff ranger class that looks like some shitty afterthought. I know this gets said all over the place and 1billion times a day, but I fell Blizzard is on the massive decline. The last year their art, innovativeness, updates and content, armor, class revamps, and poor escuses for customer interaction have been heading downhill with the force of an avalanche. Just take a look at the armor sets for wow and that says it all. It's like they fired the whole art department and replaced them with interns from the local community college. Sad really.
Just my 2 cents, but after crapaclysm, this shitty class reveal, and the 1/3 of a half-assed game Starcraft turned out to be, these guys are aiming a giant bazooka right at their own foot.

Eh, the class gameplay looked better than the cinematic, to be fair.
Overall D3 looks like a great game gameplay-wise. I suppose the LATEST cinematic might be a bad sign for the story of the game, but everyone does subpar work now and then. The game itself looks innovative and interesting.
that is fFRRereeaeeererereaking awesome.... though...I hope we can use some other weapons than crossbows...Dual SWORDS ?!?!?!?!

Am I going to have to be the only one to point out that dual weilding crossbows is completely silly? She'll have two shots, then she'll be completely vulnerable as she reloads two crossbows, reloading a single crossbow takes considerable time, she'll be out of the fight for twice as long reloading two of them.
Eventually she'll be like "aw, fu&% it." and throw one crossbow away. Assuming her enemy isn't at close range by that time where it'd be best for her to throw away both crossbows and grab a melee weapon.

You have not seen the video yet lol the cross bows act like pistols..its fucking silly.

I just watched it and also noticed that she's wearing high heels. Is there an award for most impractical class ever?

You guys have apparently never seen the movie "Van Helsing", nor played Final Fantasy 6...they are supposed to be "auto-crossbows." But yes I agree it is silly to dual-wield them.
Also, I don't know what everyone's been talking about with her looking like Illidan, she's clearly Sylvanas lol. That and she has a move called "Fan of Knives" - the name of a move straight out of WoW with a near identical animation. I think we should all give up trying to pretend that Blizzard doesn't carry ideas over between games.
If it makes the Diablo fans feel better, Blizzard basically ripped songs straight from the D2 soundtrack to put into some zones of WoW's burning crusade expansion.

Yes, yes, which is based on the Chinese Repeating Crossbow (also known as the Chu-ko-nu). The rate of fire is fine, but using them in one hand doesn't make ANY sense and comes across as very silly.
Sigh, first time I've been disappointed by Diablo 3 news. This and the arena pvp they annouced. Ah well, this class is really a Van Helsing theme I think, not so much the wow demon hunter.

And a release date???

Last I checked, you could pick the gender for any D3 class.

Pretty disappointed with this choice, but I was with the witch doctor aswell, just gotta deal with it.
Mess with the best, Die like the rest

That'll be the job of the next class announced, the Reloader
