I have a lifetime sub for his game and some cocky GM on a power trip just banned my account for complaining about the low respawn rate since f2p for Ancient Iron Ore.  I was playing the game tonight for about 3 hours and only ran into one single node.  He closed my first ticket and pointed me to some worthless forum to report a bug.  Apparently submitting more tickets is what game him the right to ban me for 3 days.  This game is not worth your time and effort. They treat players very poorly and your money and time is very valuable.

There is a big difference between your account being banned and being suspended.

All you got is a 3 day vacation.

I said banned for 3 days.  You get the point.  For those that don't get the point banned = suspended in this post.

F2p players means more players mining ore which I'n turn equals less ore for you to mine yourself. Why bother wasting a gms time with multiple tickets?

Spamming tickets and insulting GM is reason enough to ban you.

PLUS, it is normal for any game customer service to have a policy about repeat tickets especially when your first ticket has been received and handled. By putting more tickets in you are basically spamming the customer service system. I worked for a video game company that had the same policy.

Sorry bud, but you're looking for sympathy for something you should suck up and accept responsibility for.

Also, you weren't "banned" just suspended. BIG difference.

Hmmm ok you didn't really get banned for complaining about the "low spawn rate" you got banned for being a jerk, ignoring the advice that was given to you by the gm and oddly enough Turbine accused you of insulting the in game support team which you totally don't mention, that in itself would have gotten you a ban I'd figure if not ignoring the advice given and submitting another ticket for an issue they addressed.

And is it fair to say "they treat players very poorly" when you a lifetime subscriber (meaning you've been subbed for a very long time) are complaining about this one isolated incident?

I think this is an issue of people expecting way more for their money than they really have a right to, the gm's need to address the concerns of the entire player base and not just yours whether you were satisfied or not other players should'nt have issued unresolved simply because you didn't like the answer you were given.

I say if you think this issue is really worth this post you should be taking the advice they give at the end of there response to you and contact them if they lift your suspension then I guess you were in the right.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

    Guess what OP.

That support staff? Those are grown men and women trying to do a job.

You deserve a permaban for being a jerk to support IMO.

They are not there to be your punching bag because your pixels aren't happening the way you want them to.

Seeing this gave me a lot of respect for Turbine as a company because they protect their employees from people like you.

    Kudos Turbine.

What did he expect the GM to do about the low ore rate anyway.

The less whiners spamming customer support the better. I think 3 days is too short. Perhaps 3 days per ticket after the first would be more appropriate.

He probably thinks he deserves priority of all spawns because he's a lifetime member.

Sounds fully deserved, so just take your 3 day vacation and learn from it.

Yes you should have been banned three days for every ticket submitted and the ban to run consecutively

Damn it. I was really enjoying this game, but now that some random stranger ON THE INTERNET claims to have had a bad experiance with the GM staff, and in no way could this random persons attitude have caused this issue, so all LOTRO GMs must be corrupt, power hungry, mad men, it seems I must stop playing!  In fact it seems we should all bow down to this random persons wishes and stop playing.

Why are you guys trying to make me look like the bad guy here?  They obviously did not gauge the respawn rate for the amount of players they have.  If they did gauge it right, I would not have to complain and therefore, not have to submit multiple tickets. We all deserve to be treated well for the money we sink into these games.  Sorry, I did not have this issue in all of my game time playing Lotro until f2p came along.

What was your demeanor and attitude like with the GM in the tickets? How many tickets did you submit total?

Too funny!  So your "lifetime sub" gives you the right to behave how you wish?

Ok, maybe there is a spawn problem.  You should have done as the GM told you to the first time and moved on.

Hmm... If I was a hard working, caring about the player. GM, I would take a character and do a short run around the area where the bad rspawn rate was to see what it really is like.  There could have actually been something wrong with the game that was causing only one node to spawn in 3 hours of play.   This guy just blew me off.

So you expected the GM to run around with you for 3 hours to confirm your claim of a 3 hour respawn rate? wow...just wow...

You have made the issue clear yourself.  You are blind with rage at the moment but if you take the time to comprehend what happened you can see they gave you what you asked for in the first place and you kept on and on about it until he had no choice but to ban you and give you a time out.

What did you expect him to do?  Press a magic button and make a bunch appear at your feet?

    >>>>>>  this is what he did for you.  A forum was provided for you to submit your bug.

    >>>>>>  this is the attitude that caused you to spam tickets and act irrational

    >>>>>>  this is what you do when there is something wonky with any game.  You can't expect instantaneous results.

    >>>>>> this is what happens when people act irrational and demand instantaneous results.

It's only 3 days.  You know you deserved it because you wrote it here yourself in a perfectly comprehendable way.  Take 3 days off, then go back and submit your ticket and lobby for a change.  I highly doubt they would have a reason to resist looking into possible spawning rate issues.

I play LortO occasionally and haven't found any lack of resources anywhere in the game.  Usually there is plenty to go around and the spawns are pretty fast actually in comparison to other games (AOC).

Or it could have been that there were people who were running around doing nothing but mining (which has happened to me numerous times even before the population exploded).  And he told you to issue a report to the forums, blowing you off would (to me) entail him telling you something like "stop whining abouit the nodes" or some such insult, he addressed your issue you just didn't like how they addressed it but as many people have noted I don't know you thought they would do about something like this, now if this was something you noticed over days maybe I can see that but from what I've read you were wasting the gm's time to begin with.
