First, thanks for taking the time and patience to put this all together.
I'm interested in joining you folks, 1 day a week will be a great change. I haven't played Vanguard since beta, so I know a lot has changed and was wondering if you'd have room for a Vanguard newbie I played a lot of eq1 back in the day, so I'm up for the supposed challenge of Vanguard, if it's there.
If you do have room, is there any class you need or like? I know you posted a couple back that you don't really need anything, but just in case I can easily catch up as I'm a stay at home dad with my own computer repair business in a very small town, so I have a bit of free time
Thanks for your consideration!
We always have room for more. I suggest play whatever makes you happy. Our group make up is very fluid so what we need one day we may have 3 of the next time.
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

At some point, when you guys get to around 20+ I might join you for a group or two.

We had enough for two groups the first night but since then we have only had 5 people show. I think by the end of the month we will have our set people and the stragglers will be too far behind to keep up. I give it a couple more weeks and I am going to edit the OP to show a more accurate representation of the group.
We would love to have you if you want to join. The more the merrier.

One of our Vanguard vets has an idea on where to start, I forget which it was though. It seems like it will get worked out this eveining. I hope everyone shows and we have an enjoyable session. See you in game.

I'm going to have to miss tonight. Sorry all. I'll catch you next Tuesday. Let me know where you end up going and I'll make sure I'm caught up and ready for next week. Good luck and have fun!
I am getitng a "game authorization failed" message when I try to run Vanguard client today. Any ideas as to why?
Are you on the two week trial; did it run out. If it is not that I would call SOE. I had a problem with my upgrade and I had to call to get it fixed.

Only 3 of us showed up. We went to VE. We tried a dungeon and it did not work as well as we had hoped. We also ended up getting a bit seperated. If you make your way to VE we should be ok. Anyone else who wants to join should head there.

No I subbed weeks ago. There are a lot of forum posts in the forums about this error, mostly on patch days. I still have it hours later, I guess I will call them tomorrow. Bummed.

Hopefully they will work with you. The person I talked to was very polite, although it still took forever to fix. He was polite though.

I think it's great people are coordinating these types of groups in a game like this. I can imagine that organizing something like this is on the order of managing a raiding guild (same idea really, sign up for groups, show up at certain times, plan things to do together). Reminds me of my days of playing D&D on fridays with my group of friends. The real convient part of doing Friday D&D was always that even if you didn't show up the DM could "play" your character to keep things moving along. Anyways I salute you for making this type of thing work, maybe one day I will have the patience for this type of gaming experience.

It was good fun this week, although I think next week will be more organized. We tried to tackle The Riftseekers Torrent. After having no problem with the mobs at the entrance we dove right in without any quests, just intent on exploring. Well, this didn't go well as the difficulty increased (even though the enemies got smaller). Those little kneebitters came out of nowhere and ended our brazen adventure.
We did eventually find the proper quests for Riftseekers Torrent and plan to head back next week, a little more humble. For those wanting to join, the plan is too meet in Veskels Exhange, take the rift to Three Rivers, then a griffen ride north. The dungeon is just SE of Tursh. With the griffens, it is a quick flight. We'll have the quests ready to share with everyone.

Well hello everybody!! I am so excited I found you guys. I palyed VG at beta then off and on ever since then. I am recently wanting to get back into the awsome land of VG and just decided to deal with the dwindling population and make do. Finding you guys is awesome. I am at a friends house right now so I am unable to log on at this moment but if you guys are interested in me joining the group feel free to email me. All of my email comes directly to my droid phone so I will respond almost always pretty quickly Gotta love the smart phones!! Looking forward to hearing from you guys and joining you.
SOE would just ask, "What's Vanguard?" It's great to see interest in the game again. I hope SOE does see post like this...but it might be too late. F2P would be great, but that requires work and $ to prep for that...neither of which SOE is willing to put into VG at this point in time. I've seen the population count thread on this site as well for Vanguard...honestly, I don't see it. The population really hasn't been all that bad...nothing like it was at launch, but I've never had an issue finding a group with my higher lvl toons and this group has been great for my lvl 10. I think we are all more than willing to have more players join our group. We talked about a guild at one point...that might help as well with organization. Great game and having fun! See you all Tuesday!

I had a death in the family (someone I am close with). The funeral is on Tuesday. I will not be there this week.

Any thoughts on where to go tonight? I found this thread where there are some descriptions of dungeons in our range:

I also started this thread over on the vanguard forums asking for suggestions:
