I'd like a Lifer Sub for GW2...oh wait.

If you look at Atari's latest financial report and see how they are buried in debt and their creditor is threatening to drop the credit line it makes sense. They probably don't have a choice at this point and need to maximise the revenue streams if they want to stay in business for more than a year.

Outrageous! A few months before the game goes F2P they are fishing for some more fools to pay 300 bucks for THIS GAME now?

Is there no end to the scam ever? Makes me just angry to think about.

So which one makes better sense.. RAISE the original price 100$ in an attempt to I guess glorify the idea of a lifetime sub to a failing game. Show your desperation and lack of funds while you try to mask and hide the sinking ship in CO.. OR.. LOWER the original price by 100$ to at least try and get peoples attention (especially those who even thought about getting a lifer sub before but felt it was too expensive before) and try to earn back the trust of your true fan base.

Hell a lifetime sub to a game going F2P for 100 bucks would have even got my attention and had i tried the game after the switch and liked it, i prolly would have done it. But at 300 bucks for a game with just about no population is not something alot of people are going to jump at.

Basically a few hundred people at 300 bucks a pop or possibly a few thousand at 100 bucks a pop. They really should have wait and seen the health of their game AFTER the F2P launch to throw these lifetime subs out there..

Our mmorpg was originally supposed to be a subscription model game. it basically failed so we are making it F2P to grab more players and fill up our servers. So now here we offer you a lifetime subscription, basically an investment into this wonderful product that we KNOW might not last another year. We are pricing it well above the price of current generation game consoles and even high end video cards because we are confident that our product is far better than the public percieves it to be.

Please invest in our failing game. We cannot garuntee how long the servers will remain up, but I assure you that you are making the right choice!

I mean the game's barely 15 months in...why not at least wait until the people who bought LT subs the first time around have gotten their money's worth? But then again, the game's going F2P, so some lifetimers aren't going to be happy now that they can sorta "jump in and out" as they please without a sub (not without limitations, I know, but still) anyways. Oh well, at least Cryptic slapped on the extra $100 so they're not totally eating crow over the so-called ONE-TIME, EXLUSIVE OFFER** they made the first time around.

This isn't a deal, it's a dare. A dare to pay someone a pretty substantial sum of money to piss in your mouth. Someone who won't even give you the courtesy of eye contact while they do it. Black Friday's around the corner, Cryptic, I don't think many people would be interested in the avatar baby-sitting service your ghost town's offering.
