WoW is too hard now since The Shattering

I think I might quit WoW and find an easier MMO. Its gotten way too hard, and no I'm not trolling...hear me out

 

Before The Shattering, I could solo every instance on my DK and Paladin, and to bit lesser degree, my Warlock as well. Now, not even my Paladin or DK can solo RFC or any other instance, even if the mobs con grey to them! What has Blizzard done to this once great game? No longer on my Paladin solo 10+ mobs at once...I can barely kill 3. My DK is no different, he used to just wtf pwn everything and it was great...reminded me of Diablo, a nice action MMO. Now my DK is just like my Paladin, can barely kill 3 mobs at once.

 

This is the biggest con to the game now...Blizzard made it way too hard. What happened to soloing instances? What happened to the action? Blizzard nerfed it.

 

That isn't my only problem.

 

They took out the portals in Dalaran and Shattrath...now I need to either pay a mage to open a portal, or take hours and hours to get from one major city to another. Okay not hours and hours...but you get my point.

Hunters got heavily nerfed...they now use something similar to Rogue's energy but renamed to Focus. If I wanted to play a Rogue, I would play a Rogue. I hate energy, its annoying and really limits me to what I can do compared to mana and rage.

Glyphs are also now insanely expensive, my server glyphs went from an average of 5 gold, to 40+ gold! WTF? Because blizzard changed glyphs, now I can't use them...so lame.

Leveling is harder too. This is partly due to the mobs being harder...but leveling seems a lot slower. I used to blaze through the game from 1-70...Blizzard ruined that too.

 

Thanks Blizzard for making this game so hard. (that was sarcasm, btw)

    Okay through that whole post you made me realise, you are either 1: A person who should not be playing mmos, or 2: A troll. Either way all of those changes are VERY welcome for a lot of people.

    yeah it way to hard now. I cant play my Hunter or Mage any more. before I was doing 4/5k  dps in 5mans now Im doing 2k.  Its hard to relearn your class while at max level   image

    I'm serious...since the latest update, WoW is too hard. Before the update my Paladin could solo anything that was thrown at him. After the update, he can't even solo instances...when he could do it with his eyes closed before.

     

    I'm not trolling, if you've played the latest patch and tried to do dungeons by yourself or do quests, its a LOT harder than it was before. Instances are impossible solo now, even for DKs and Paladins. Its really lame.

    yeah!  Shaman are proll y the only ones that can still do it.. no wonder everyone is rolling new dwarf shaman

    Am I the only one who reads the (that was sarcasm) in the end? I thought it wasn't necessary, it was obvious enough but I guess I was wrong.

    yeah!  Shaman are proll y the only ones that can still do it.. no wonder everyone is rolling new dwarf shaman

    Nope, my level 39 shaman can't solo instances now either. 

     

    It seems a lot of people haven't played the new WoW patch and THEY are the ones actually trolling. This game is too hard now, and I'm just not having fun with it.

Goes to show how many trolls are hating WoW and haven't even played the recent patch. or they would know how lamely hard WoW is now. I can't do any instances solo anymore...and leveling seems slower because combat is so much harder. If you repliers actually played the recent patch, you would see thats true...Blizzard made the game TOO hard.

    I do expect it to be harder tho, I mean the instances past 80. At least that's what they've been telling people. I hope they are, but I wonder if they are how many people will quit. People are just so used to the same old tank and aoe thing that they may be shocked when that doesn't work anymore and actual tactics will need to be used.

    Wait, so WoW actually requires that you interact with other people again?  People might have to be polite so that they aren't shunned from groups and can get help doing quests?

    When you spend 20 minutes running back to retrieve your death items to die again 50 feet before you get to your body and end up with half a dozen bodies strewn about you are allowed to be a little annoyed. Until then I left my hanky dispenser up there for you and the others.

    Are you talking about a level-capped character soloing lower level instances? I can still solo everything up to and including some level 70 raid content on my level Hunter, and even some level 80 instances, and in fact if anything it's easier. I rarely solo instances on any of my other characters, since my Hunter is my main anyways, but I have done it, and depending on the character it's still doable... Not to mention the fact that instances weren't designed to be soloable in the first place. Blizzard isn't going to tweak group instance design so that you can solo it easier at high levels.

    That isn't my only problem.

    Granted, it's a contrivance to make people use the old Azeroth cities as their "home base", but to be honest it's better that way anyways since that's where everything is now. Shattrath and Dalaran now have AH and all class trainers, so if you are still leveling in those areas you have everything that you need. For the record, with all the new boats, zeppelins and flight points it takes a few minutes to get from one major city to another if you don't have a Mage friend to port you... When we get flying mounts in old Azeroth it will be even more of a non-issue.

    Focus is sometihng ot get used to, and yes it is horrible in PvP right now, but in PvE it's fine. The focus mechanic actually makes a lot more sense for Hunters than Mana, and it makes things a lot easier in many respects. Things should shake themselves out by the time we reach level 85.

    Yes because now once you learn them you have them permanently, whereas before you had to rebuy them every time you changed them out. If anything that;s a nerf to the Inscription profession, although with the new consumable it's not as bad as it could have been for them.

    Leveling is harder too. This is partly due to the mobs being harder...but leveling seems a lot slower. I used to blaze through the game from 1-70...Blizzard ruined that too.

    Now this is just plain wrong... Leveling is 100% easier and more fun now. you are just doing it wrong son. I won't even bother going into the ways that your above statement is so very wrong, I would be here all day making the list.

    After careful consideration I can only conclude that you are either lying about this not being a troll, or you haven't ever played World of Warcraft before...

    Wait, WoW is gonna be HARDER?  Everything I was reading was telling me WoW would be easier after the shattering.

     

     

    Well freaking sweet.

     

    Step aside cry babies, maybe I'll reload the game if there's an actual challenge...

    Oh, I know you're a troll because I have played, and DO play, since the patch. It's as easy as ever. The last instance I did I think we did in record time. But in all seriousness they did say things would get harder....not for pre-80 content I guess, but for post 80 content I think it's supposed to be.

    I'm talking about non-maxed characters.

     

    Before, my Paladin could solo any instance that conned green in the dungeon finder tool. Still a green instance after the patch, and now its unsolable. I wait a level or two, the instance now cons grey...I still can't solo it. Before, this was very easy...a lot more actiony...it felt like playing Diablo, but in MMO form. They took the Diablo feel away.

    Supposedly, yes. We'll have to see if that's actually the case tho. But I think it's only post 80 instanced content that will be harder. Questing and stuff is actually easier, or perhaps I should say more streamlined.

    I soloed in Asheron's Call (about 80% of the time), Ultima Online (60% of the time) and SWG (about 70% of the time). Are those not considered MMOs then?

    Yes those are mmos but you played em in a solo form.

    So basically you are complaining that your OP toons cant solo group content anymore?

    Sounds like they fixed a few things to me. And as far as quiting WoW and finding an easier MMO, well i guess Hello Kitty Online is that way ----------->
