fistorm, I am just wondering something here.  Your post is remarkably similar to another poster in these forums that was flaming SWTOR, yet had very little knowledge of the game.  I find it amazing that like him you seem to be pretty ignorant of the game, are impatient with the information being released, and even question basically the same things no matter how much people SHOW you you are wrong.  Would it be possible that you "two" are actually one?  I mean, even your writing style is remarkably similar.

Either way I would ask that you actually do some research so you can see EXACTLY how hollow and ignorant your post is.  Try to do it with an open mind too.  You may still not like the game in the end, but at least then it will be out of a well informed stance instead of apparent ignorance.

I fully admit to getting excited about this game.  I also fully admit that out of caution I try to read multiple reviews by a variety of websites to get a better picture of what is going on with this game.  Even though I am forcing myself to be cautiausly optimistic overall about this game, it is hard since most people who have had the opportunity to get a good look at this game in the last six months or so have raving reviews that go into a good bit of detail.  I find it even more encouraging when some of those people admit to disliking Star Wars and SciFi in general, but have a really good impression of this game.

No really, you know, try to clear this up for me...

I saw lasers in both pictures so they MUST be similar games lol.

My thoughts and this is being as fair as i can be, he or she (can't be bothered really to look at the moment, so dang tired) was looking at STO ground combat and relating to ToR ground combat.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

OMG STO blew. If SW:ToR is ANYTHING like STO, I'll give up MMOs, drop my PC from a high window and buy myself PS3...that way I know every game will be shit.

How do you come by this?

Because it's easier to not read and type shit, than to actually inform yourself?

Even the ground combat looks nothing alike.

And I think it's time to use a bit of common sense here: we have one game that is primarily space and another that is primarily ground, they do not share the same themes or general direction, they do not have similar development cycles and they don't even look the same.

How SWTOR could then remind of STO (the obvious stuff aside) is beyond my comprehension, it really is.

Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

I agree, hence my comment and this is being as fair as i can be.  Basically trying to seeing anyway the OP could see these two as even remotely similar.  Which i don't.  It was just in hopes of maybe trying to see the OP point of view.

two seconds watching a video and you would see its nothing like STO

honestly STO is a space game and who cares if you're in a open space that is black devoid space, or in a small instance that is.......black devoid space, it is what it is
