     No one doubted your self proclaimed "Awesomness" I think more they just said how lame it was to "Flaunt" such on a mmorpg forum. Anyway I too met nice RL people who played WoW but some have met the exact oppossite different people different experiences calm down dude.

    The game does have 12 million players...it's bound to have ass holes and nice people. Guess I'm just cranky from lack of sleep, 26 hours and counting. (Trying to fix my sleep patterns before the break is over).

    I live to go faster...or die trying.

    Seems to me, from your original post, that you are already setting yourself up for disappointment (claiming that you are pretty sure you won't like DCUO - but are going to buy it anyway). I'm thinking that if World of Warcraft is your kind of game, then you probably won't like DCUO. It does play drastically different than most traditional WoW-type MMOs.

     

    However, on the other hand, you could be pleasantly surprised. You never can be sure if you like something (or not) until you try it. By the way, I'm not trying to dog you - my apologies if you take offense to what I said.

    I really have no expectations right now tbh. So far all I've heard is that the combat system can be compared to button mashing. From what people have described, this button mashing is similar to that of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat...and that means it is NOT buttonmashing because I used to play Guilty Gear XX and BlazBlue A LOT (button mashers get owned badly). I'm just the type to try every game and see what happens, though I'd say my experiences have been around the same as everyone else because most of us agree that since 2k4 there haven't been any good MMOs that came out.

     Yeah, its definately not button mashing. There is alot of skill involved and knowing when to block and executing combos correctly and in a timely manner (along with using your stun and knock down powers). I really like the game - its very fresh from traditional tab target/auto attack MMOs. A friend and I were roaming around on the PvP servers as level 8s beating up level 20s. Good times, good times.

     

    You are absolutely right - button mashers get owned badly. =)

     Lack of content at launch and yeah, you can solo everything except alerts and raids. Even the casuals can finish the pve content in 2-3 months.
