Guys I'm a sandbox fanboi but I can no longer accept a mmo just because it have a skill system and I could loot players. I need more besides the hooks. One of the reasons EvE is so good is that it gives the player many options besides just skilling and killing. So what does EarthRise offer? What will I be doing when im not leveling skills through questing? What are my crating options? Wheres the fluff? What's going to keep me busy when I'm not working on my main goal? If all the game offers are a skill system, raising faction and a FFA pvp area then its basically devoid of the little things and it IMO will fall flat in a couple months... So what does it offer the player besides the main hook?
Playing: Rift, LotRO

Not too sure these days as I lost interest in Earthrise quite some time ago after following it die hardidly for 3-4 years.
If as the original spec then Earthrise offers a robust crafting system 2nd only to pre-cu SWG, everything for crafting is gained by players and every item is unique often requireing subcombines that are in a totally different branch than you may have trained creating a driven interdependant economy.
More info on crafting can be found within these 2 great posts

There are social centre where players can hang out exactly what there is to do there I am unsure of as i say lost interest some time ago.
Siege combat is a plus and is very exciting (I'm assuming it will be that is). So on top of the hardcore pvp, the loot, crafting system, I think the siege mechanic and ability to wardec other clans which makes for some fun politics is what makes the concept of this game fun for me.

I am interested, but I am not buying without a trial...Not nearly enough information, and I am wary about cheats/hacks/dupes....Seems some smaller companies sometimes let this stuff run rampant and don't test enough.
It irks me to put in time for stuff, and to have people just cheat freely...So I guess I am stuck waiting.
A couple of things that looked interesting were the possibility of bounty hunting, and then the ability to smuggle goods from one faction to another.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
