This sounds like a school assignment.
Game launches in 2+ weeks and the NDA still up...umm :-l
Until players get their hands on Earthrise and see how it actually is I don't see how this is possible in any meaningful way.

& whats the point to comparing it to VG exactly? I don't get it, sorry.
Eventhough I really like VG this could be seen as a likeness between the games, since VG NDA was dropped very close to launch :-)
Most times that's not a good sign. Oh well, I have hopes for Earthrise too and wish I could answer the OP:s questions!
Vanguard is the gold standard for mmog game crafting in my opinion. Earthrise seems to have deep crafting that might rival VG's.Crafting is one of the main reasons I play VG.The pve game play in VG is deep as well.
Therefore I could see some VG players like myself being interested in this game(and I love faction conflict if it's well done)
So thats why I referenced VG.I didn't know ther NDA was still in place when I posed the question. I assumed this close to launch the company would be blaring the PR/Media trumpets.
Every single character in Earthrise can train up all skills available in the game, given enough time. Each skill will have a cap of 10 levels.
Earthrise has FFA-PvP and PvE-content.
Look at the videos and screenshots.
Earthrise will have PvE-content, like quests and storyline.
Enterra is an island the size of New York City. You'll need approx 2 hours sprinting to cross the island cost to coast. However, you can't sprint for two hours nonstop, so it's closer to 4 hours of crossing it by foot, if nothing get's in your way.
Earthrise is designed for group-PvP, but there's no mechanics that would force you to group up, if you don't want. There's no group-instances etc.
Go listen to the Earthrise soundtrack.
There'll be robots. These need to be crafted tho and can aswell be destroyed like anything else in Earthrise.
The both couldn't be more different to begin with.
Earthrise is a Full Loot PvP game, I would assume FFA PvP as well.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Was really shocked to see this thread...the answer is...nothing. I don't even understand how you could start to compare these two games.
1. One is fantasy, the other is sci-fi
2. One is centered on pve, the other is mainly pvp based
3. One if full loot, the other has no looting of player corpses
4. I'm really stoked at this forum? We could compare Nintendo's Double Dribble from back in the day to Earthrise and find about the same amount of things similiar....

Here's my comparison and contrast for you....
Sorry for the small amount of comparison. I figure I could do more but with Earthrise not even been released OR in closed beta for anyone to have even PLAYED it yet I figured It would have been hard for me to do more.
