Where are mobs beyond BR 160-170? I can't find anything. I've spent hours upon hours exploring and, unless I'm missing some hidden area, I've won at ER :P

Some of us got together and killed the BR 344(or so) guards and they don't drop anything, not even BP. So I assume you aren't supposed to kill them

Can someone toss me a bone, or did I win at ER? B)

Your obsession with this game is becoming worrisome. I am completely serious when I ask that you consider seeking help.

He might be obsessive, but he still has a point there.

A sandboxMMO where you can "level" up this fast (9 days!) and hit a point where you don't find mobs to progress anymore?.... C'mon, you can't be serious.

Seriously what a silly post, TW is incoming in March. FYI incase you negated the fact, the game is a sandbox, player driven content!

Oh boy, the world is full of douches

For your info... there's currently no sand in the sandbox. That's why people reach this point 9 days after release.
Earthrise in it's current state is nothing else then Quake Deathmatch in a very big map, where there's some mobs added.

We told Masthead on and on again for the last two years, that they need to have lot's of content ontop of the PvP, so that the players have something to do instead of just running around killing each other mindlessly.
Crafting should've been a big part of this content, but they simply failed to deliver there. And don't start talking about the crap they call quests please, whihc are totally useless without the faction-rewards etc.

Masthead plain and simple failed to deliver a game that keeps you playing for more then two weeks.

Go to the area west of blasted lands (where south legion HQ is) and try to get through the hatchery. If you can clear that place out, then you can claim you've done the end game of what is in game.

Utter rubbish, the game is 1 week old, in its infancy. Players are getting into the crafting mechanic, and folks despite the performance issues are enjoying the game on the whole. Faction battles, and guild fights are rife as the political map begins to take shape.

Im guessing your not overly experienced in sandbox games, and probably havnt played the likes of Perpetuum, MO & DF. The first few months are actually despite the issues always the most interesting, politically ingame and development wise.

The devs road map is on target and is progressing nicely, we shall see. I believe that in 2/3 months we will be enjoying the best sandbox on the market, many already consider it to be so, however they are looking forward to the TW and the resolution to the performance issues before considerable investment is made. Watch the guilds from the other games flock into the game once the server lag and desync is abolished. If it isnt well, thas another story.

In short many believe ER has a fantastic future if the performance issues are resolved!

I guess I'm playing sandboxes for way longer then you even own a PC starting with AO some 10 years ago...

And mentionig the likes of Perpetuum, MO and DF just show that you have only played the utter worst of the sandboxes actually, which were released during the last two years.

Come again if you've played the more succesful ones like AO, Neocron, DAoC, SWG and EvE.

You can't 'beat' the game, you just can't. This guy was making his post in jest, and Mako, being the angry neighborhood Earthrise troll construded it into something malicious. M4ko, you've made MULTIPLE threads on this board telling us how A) you hate the game ad B) never gonna play it, and even went as far as attacking the dev team, yet you still keep coming back for more. You have a serious vendetta, i have no idea why your blatant troll threads have been allowed to continue on multiple occassions. Sad thing is ill receive some kind of 'punishment' for simply raising this issue.

There are hundreds of skills no-one can possibly master in 9 days. Battle Rank isn't a LEVEL its a reflection of the GEAR you are wearing and its tier. I highly doubt he has a full Tier 10 set, i also highly doubt he has multiple T10 weapons, abilities, tactics, healing or crafting skills. The game, this SANDBOX isn't about killing 'tough' mobs, it's not about 'raids' or hard PvE. Christ when will you ignorant people get this through your head. This guys post has been taken completely out of context by M4ko as an attempt to further fulfill his trolling needs. Really sad.

And in-case anyone is wondering, the server lag has improved ten-fold since release, and im not even exaggerating. MHS has released a weekly schedule on the boards too, and they intend to implement 'Siege' warfare, as well as multiple performance fixes at the end of the week. I'm sure M4ko can find that same thread on the boards and relay it back here. Doubt he will though.

Please enlighten us, how exactly was DAoC sandbox?

TW is coming in March eh? Just like the fabled performance patch that was supposed to happen prior to launch? There has not been a single client patch to date since the game released, that is not a good sign, regardless of what anyone says. I wouldn't count my chickens before they are hatched, if I were you.

Oh boy, the world is full of douches

Juvenile name calling is a great way to publicly show everyone that you are no better than those you consider to be "douches".

    Food for thought.

Seems like the game was just released far too early for its own good, and quite a few things that were supposed to be here at release are still missing.  I do understand that MHS is a smaller development company however it looks like they needed to get the game out there so they could start making some fast cash.

You almost made me shed a tear when you mentioned Neocron in your post... man I miss that game (pre DOY).

I am currently trying out Earthrise, and have to say it's not as bad as most people say it is.  Sure it's glitchy and feels like a paid beta, but if the performance issues are addressed, and MH delivers with the development roadmap, the game has sand box potential. I definitely have had some Neocron & Anarchy Online esque moments so far, but I'm sure you have heard this all before... That said, patience is a virtue if you are going to start playing this game ATM.  ;)

I am Ferrum, that was quoted in the OP.

I honestly don't appreciate being used against a game I enjoy. I was asking for assistant in finding some more targets in a specific range and my post was supposed to be light hearted..hence the smilies.

I enjoy Earthrise quite a bit, and I play it daily. Just for the record.

No it doesn't. For a start, that thread is 4 days old. And for a lot of people, it has improved a lot. Everyone's PC's/location is different, so its better for some than it is for others. Do you think im just making this shit up? Latency has improved for me, at least cut in half in lag, and im from the UK connecting to the East Coast US.

And lol @ Ferrum's post above me, confirming exactly what i said on Page 2. Pathetic haters gonna hate.

How does Ferrum's post contradict any point the OP was trying to make? Ferrum is free to like or hate the game.

"I like Earthrise, I can't find any high BR mobs" two completely unrelated sentences.

The Thread you mention might be 4 days old but 1) the poll is ongoing and 2) if you read the latest posts you will find it's pretty indicative of the current state of the game for the majority of the players. Your gameplay experience might be fine noone is gonna argue with that, for most people though it's not fine as per that thread.

Wow this is maybe one of the biggest fanboyism posts i've seen on ER.. This game has poor performance and is lacking heavily in content; and just because its a "sandbox" dosn't mean it should be lacking in content.. Trust me, i play EvE, theres plenty to do.. I've played Prepetuum, and it was made by a 10man team, theres still more to do in that game..

This game has no content and failed to deliver.. Most thought this game was vaporware a year ago, i was hopeing it was just because Masthead was waiting to polish the game and release it in a decent shape.. I would've rather them just kept posting 2-3 screen shots and concept art each week until the game was ready to release rather then release it earlie and ruin its chances of gaining any kind of decent population later on.

Glad I stayed away from this game as the warnings signs were all over the place.

Us sandbox fans sure are going through a bad period... not a good sandbox MMO released since when, Eve was released?

Yeah it has been a while.. I'am keeping my eyes on Xsyon though.. Looks a little rough around the edges but i see potential with more content updates.. I wish i could say the same for Earthrise, but they have a 85man team and can't even hammer out the performance/technical issues.. Xyson is ran by a 2man team and so far has gotten tons of praise and as far as i know has no FPS or performance issues.

Well all that means, the 2man team with no issues in fps, vs the 85 man team with many....seems to be that perhaps earthrise is using an in house game engin, while Xyson might be some UT or other premade engin.

But yeah, Xyson seems more like a Real Life sim type of game, while earthrise is just no where near launch ready.

Its one of the reasons why Rift is so "polished"...its 3rd party game engin has been getting worked on since DAOC.
