Ok, first things first. Let's just remeber that most people on this site would give their own mum a 2,0 user rating. Then they would all congregate in the street singing this together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9viyJB8a7GQ and then they would all probaly go for a drink together and get a kebab on the way home and play some some fighting fantasy game books together to see who could finnish House of hell first. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Hell Let me tell you now, you can't finnish it. Anybody who tells you any diferent is full of shit and I will spit my last breath at them. What I am saying is never take this crap to heart. If you do, there is no hope for the human race. Saying all that I thought Earthrise was a pile a rusty tit wank.
must be messed up or there is a lot voting it down for the performance and laag issues
dunno besides these issues which got better a lot since release the depth of the skill system with all the mix and match possibilities and the compexity of the crafting show where a lot of dev time went into :P
i really hope they'll get the performance right and make good progress with their patches to attract new players since i am having a blast with this game and wanna see it grow ^^
never ever take the hype ratings on this site seriously.....ever
some of the top hyped games have dead forums, no hype, others myseteriously gain or loose votes that would take years to gain naturally.
ive been on this site since 2005 (yes ive been banned ect) and the hype meter is the worst way you could judge a game.
that being said dont take the hype meter rating system too seriously. it changes often. and usualy without natural votes.
its not a user rating its a hype meter...i guess.
bad launches usually drop the game into the 6's anyway
Crap game that revolves around grinding mobs to do EVERYTHING is a crap game. I'm suprised it got as high as a 4.9
Crafting in this is not good, nothing to compare to EvE, old time SWG, or even FE (and I have played the crafting in each of those). Only way to get "resources" still by looting only? Don't play this game for the crafting. Even if/when it "works" it will be nothing special. Little customization for crafted items. No way to distinguish yourself as a crafter.
And yes, the preformance/technical issues are as bad as everyone is saying. Buddy of mine who bought the copy got the CC company to nuke the purchase, because the thing will not run on his system. We got it to barely work on his laptop enough to evaluate it during beta, and live it is no better.
Another game not ready for release.
The game was not ready for release , but I honestly tought it was innovative enough though .
Just don´t forget the most important thing counts , if you are having fun .
Nothing else matters , just for most of us the game is too stressfull , the ideas of designing a full pvp envoirement was good and still is good , just you are going for the smaller market .
Thats a simple as that , its not that people hate PvP its that majority of the people want PvP on there own home turf (So advangtage pvp)
But anyway I hope they make PVE servers for fallout online , and not base it on linear developers direction .
Cause that title I can see really work well , with Earthrise system , if bugs are work out .
I was going to buy this, until I read forums. EVERY forum I went on only had bad things to say about the game. I may have seen one or two posts out of about 50 that praised it, and even then they admitted they knew the game had issues. Why purchase a game for full price that could end up like another mortal? It sure sounds like the mortal launch.
I agree with the Snail here, dont take hype on this site for anything. BUT, I just want to make sure everyone knows that FFXIV scores higher......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
why is everyone bashing the resource gathering method ? i mean seriously the only one that was any good is SWG's one. i for one enjoy hunting some mobs for battle points AND resources way more than hitting some rock or mine like in most games. so while there is more ways coming to gather resources in ER (exploration soon, resource mines you got to free from npc's and which then are put on some kind of resource market to buy off later this year) it's by now better then in most games in overall flow.
the crafting really starts to shine if you have some good guildies playing with you...we basically send resources/crafted components around like mad and everyone is having a blast and making money :P hardly had that much fun with crafting but this surely depends on the buddies you play with ^^
so yes there are performance issues remaining, laag got better a lot already but they need to fix this, they need to do quite a lot of stuff tho nevertheless i for one do not care to play any of those themepark games anymore....i more or less played SWG loved it..switched to eve, started to love full loot which made all games without some sort of risk pointless for me...then came darkfall...*sigh* now i can't play games without fps controls on top *g* now came ER and i love the deep skill system whereas you can't be all at once, one of the important points darkfall (tho i still love the game) failed up until now.
overall i surely do not take any rating of this site serious but it's kinda sad if you a) get a good game bashed for inferior reasons just because those rating didn't even know whats the game about and b) have it reviewed by someone who was just eager to play some themepark crap but had to review a full loot sandbox game, poor boy.
so yeah ER is kinda basic atm sure but just when looking at the skillsystem, what there is and what they do, the crafting which really requires team play right now, full loot/insurance also well done i think that if the next few patches deliver and territoral warefare is any good ppls will come in droves anyway but still when you play an indie game they mostly will have money issues and will have to release early..blame how our world runs, money money money ^^
so yes it needs work, yes it needs to patches but the stuff the review for example is blaming the game is just BS :P

No, i agree, haha never took hype from this forum seriously, ever, they are mostly hate all around, even if it is hyped low, try it for your self, people may hate it, but you may not, even i still download a game that is hyped below 5 ( ok and while most of it ended up true), but yeah, just saying
but personally, i feel it's a little harsh this game got below 5, 6.5 would have been fair for both side ( fan and non fan )

Hey, I'm pretty sure theres alot of unused accounts hanging around if someone wants to "try" the game just get a buddies account or see if you can "try" it cheap off someone. DO NOT buy the game though, its a waste of money. PM me if someone wants to "try" it out.

The game deserves a 5. Maybe even lower. This is half of a game, it's worth half the rating. The only things I liked about the game was the music (which was supposedly from local Bulgarian drum&bass artists which is cool) and the setting. Everything else is pretty poor. No need to go into what is wrong with the game, but it definitely does not deserve a decent rating. Pretty funny that this is actually the lowest rated p2p game out there, and it's $50 to boot.
haha its okay, actually i was on CB before, played for 2 weeks, and decided not to buy the game, sad indeed, when you have been waiting for it for almost 2 years, and it ended up like this
