I thought this was another one of those speculation threads but holysh*t this is real. It's just like the Necromancer reveal all over again. Now let's wait for ArenaNet to scramble together the Thief Profession info for the site. Well at least this won't mean that we'll only see Norn Guardians in the upcoming PAX East ^_^

Yes! A Thief that can actually steal stuff. Must have taken ArenaNet ages to figure out all the different things a thief could steal from all the mobs and players, in order to use against them (i.e. stealing the birds feathers to blind them). So kudos ArenaNet... your game has become just that much more amazing and it's not even out yet.
Also, wow, looks like PvE won't be as easy as everyone thought judging on how they got beaten in that last Dynamic Event. Dropping dead, left and right.
Yeah, it was an interesting contrast seeing them all getting wiped constantly on the high level DE, but managed to kill that Norn Ice Wrum in seconds earlier.
If thief class can not steal things - its no good

The assassin redux is a Thief. Sounds wierd but from the videos, it's going to be a lot of fun to play, especialy when you get to steal feathers from a bird and use them against him. FUN FUN FUN:D
It also seems as very advanced class
Hard to play , the developer showing the gameplay got his ass handed to him pretty badly

Do you think they are showing us each race a bit after it's finalised? Looks like we'll have to unfortunately wait quite a while for this game.
I have a soft spot on my heart for the rogues and rascal characters, and play such in about every MMO that I can. Definitely going Thief main. Pistols? Daggers? And likely other weapons such as rapiers? Yes, please.
The 'stealing an enemy's weapons' is sort of borderline for me, but it beats simply stealing coin from them in the middle of a fight. I liked the feathers adaptation when she was fighting the moa.
Still, all in all, inspiring and impressive. Well done.

The stealing weapons thing was a MUCH better way of implementing stealing than just extra money or something.
