How do I join Goonsquad??

I have played two games no where I ended up being grieved by Goonswarm and I do not intend for this to be the third. If you can not beat them, join them. But how do I get into the Goonsquad in Rift? The goonies I tried to PM ingame did not reply to my tells.

So what you're saying, is these people ruined your experience of two games already, and now you want to encourage them and help them ruin other peoples experience of a game? Great thought process there!
Eagerly awaiting the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Veteran of far too MMO's to count: EQ,SWG, EQII,FFXI,EVE,COX,CO,LOTRO,MxO,WoW, etc etc.. I just love the genre.

From what I remember from Eve.. there was a whole page of info to fill out. Then they put you into a trial clan and eventually when you were somewhat trusted, moved into GS. Not sure if this is how it works but seriously, just change servers... you don't want to me around a majority of them.
Can you give a list of servers that they are on? I really true want onto one they are not on.
Goons, they only people (that I know of) that have linked critical info into chat and it was actually a link to a porn site. I was pissed and stopped working with them at that point.
Trion needs to ban these, ummm.... ummm... people.
hmm you do know rift is not like even, so they can't do they main strat, using several smaller ships to take out bigger ships, so they are not really something to fear or even care, and if you are on the same side as then, (I saw some in the OB as defiants) they can't do nothing against you, and even when they say rift have pvp is a pve
Go to their website and pay 25$ for a membership. Yes I am serious about that. That is why they have so much drama.
They are Defiant, on Lotham (which I am on , and Guardian). Heard they were holy rollers or something, kind of odd to be defiant (anti-gods) if so.
The Goonsquad/swarm whatever never open recruits in the game world. If one of them tells you they will be very careful because normally that's a scam and you'll know for sure if they tell you to give them in game cash or goods to join.

They actually pay their officers to run these games and for some its an actual job.
Frequently they won't let you join w/o having been a paying member of the Something Awlful.com forums for about 3 mo. (9.95 one time fee) which they do to cut down on spying in a game like EVE

Final advice.....in many games (i.e EVE) being a former Goonie is a huge blackmark on your avatar and many Corps/guilds etc will never let you join them should you see the error of your ways.

I have never heard of these people. Kind of makes me think you are a member of the guild trying to build up non-existant hype about them.
Yes, I saw them around in Bloodiron EU. No need to join that server, we got enough queues as it is hehe. For now.
They are a huge guild that has been in almost every popular MMO and have a horrible reputation.

My friends and I had great, fun PvP against them back on Lowca server in SWG (2004, 2005 I think, when the game was good).
They were dicks to many, but they were organized, played extremely well, and I enjoyed their clever ideas for PvP and wacky humor.
I still chuckle when I remember their "power rangers" Bounty Hunters videos (they killed many a jedi as power rangers hehe).

I have only applied for the cheapest membership level, and I am not sure what exactly they wre looking for so I might have overdone it in the application, but this is real exciting! I thought maybe there would be some sort of screening process, although that may yet to come.
It'll be awesome if they just take your money then guild kick you.

never heard of them until this game but saw a lot in beta....usually a guarenteed easy kill.
Not sure how things work in a themepark game like Rift, I suspect they'll be more of scourge to their own side rather than the enemy.
But in games with open world PVP they are a force to be reckoned with and this was certainly the case in EVE.

Nah lol, no screening process for the goons. If your dumb enough to fork over the cash to join your in simple as that.
Few things to keep in mind when your a member of the Goons. You will be treated like a pariah (social outcast) by non goons and don't think because your a goon that goons won't harass you still lol. Your also going to be asked to give over a lot of your ingame stuff to your higher ups.
Next warning is that Goons tend to use cheat progs or sometimes only simply frowned upon tactics which end up leading to things such as supsensions and bannings.
And lastly be wary as many games consist of large guilds/clans that grief goons constantly so waving that Goon flag is likely to cause you to be griefed far more often than you previously were. Players tend to band together to run Goons out of their game of choice.
