@ OP: The first two posts are really the best description of where things stand (user509 and jakdstripper) Server stability has improved, but leaces something to be desires. Last weekend there was a problem with a memory leak, which made things particularly bad. VERY unfortunate timing with the introduction of the free trial. Certainly you could say that they brought it on themselves by doing the patch that introduced that memory leak right as they announced the free trial, but it was still significantly worse than usual.

You sure ain't the sharpest tool in the box. And how should I do that? Travel back in time like Michael J Fox and record it? Or maybe I shall ask SV to introduce the bug for me again so I can record it. That was so stupid that I really must apploud you. Well done exploiter. You sure don't seize to amaze me. And the fact that you actually think that EVERYONE cheats like yourself is jawdropping. When I meet peeps like you I almost loose faith in humanity. But thank god you are in a minority.

I am sure it will happen again. SV has the habit of bringing back old bugs. You will get your chance.

And I was like you once. All bright eyed and naive about the world. But then MO everyone cheats. Sit in IRC for a while you will see. The only reason I am ploiting the game right now is because I am not playing it. I am only here for the lulz during the free trial. But here is a quote from an IRC convo with a MOD I was having becuase I was so pissed about the cheating and nothing happening. I said I wanted all exploites/cheaters/dupers banned. This was his response.

Alternate weekends. It's not so bad though because I am usually home no later than 5PM, sometime 3PM depending on how things go.

Actually I have reported the bug 3x. And I even paged a GM had him watch me delete my red and make a new yellow flagged character. I am not trying to change your mind. LOL I AM EXPLOITING A BUG BECAUSE I THINK IT IS FUNNY. Now keep paying for something you are not using. kthnx

Wait a second. I just came to my senses. It is not an exploit. I was giving SV too much credit. I am sure when they coded in the noob flag they just coded into the first slot not thinking someone would just delete it and make a new one. I was giving them too much credit actually thinking they could hard code it into an account. And actually put a timer on the account and not the first character slot. Dumb me.

I really did report it. But you are right I did not do it out of any kind of morale thought. I did it because I think it is funny, that I reported a bug 5 days ago, and it is still in game or I am not banned. I have been pretty blatant about it I use the same name same race. And I even make sure there are people that see me red ( i go in town and die as a red) come back yellow and say look at me. Also the population is so good that I try my best to kill most people in town ( i find them afk in the bank alot) and it takes at least 40 wacks with a noob sword to kill someone.

Now stop personally attacking me it hurts my feelings.

Back to what I disagreed with.

Just read from release to now. The server is anything but stable. Especially on weekends when all the rats go home for the weekend.

Combat has never been ironed out. Why do you think in the past 8 months SV has only been working on pvp and there is no sand in the box. I will have to admit the graphics are much better. But there are still rather amaturish graphic problems in the world like levitating trees and copy and pasted scenary and ground. Also why the hell is the river next to Fab still fake?

Slapshot1188, I´m ingame now and almost at Meduli. Started in Fab. And my character is SlapMe. I´ll hang around the fountain sipping some kool aid. And boy do I move in slow motion as a nOOb. Had 4gotten that. :P

Too bad. I tried the beta over a year ago and noticed how good this game COULD be. There were some neat ideas that I thought would evolve over time but I couldn't bring myself to purchase the game. Now it seems much is unchanged overall and the bugs still persist.

I would probably be playing this game if it weren't for my experience last weeked. I actually liked the game, and I can stomach a decent amount of bugs, but a game that has been out for 9 months should have better server stability. As a trial player, releasing a patch before the weekend, when you open your game up for free trials/potential customers, then said patch causes your server to go down every hour, while no one works on the weekend, left a bad taste in my mouth. Not too mention that they blamed the patch's problems on someone else, instead of taking responsibility for it; pretty lame in my eyes.

I really did like the game and most of the community I came in contact with was pretty cool. I just expect a game to work better than this after being out this long. A month or two after release? Sure, problems are ok. Nine months later and your server is going down 20 times in one day? Eh, I'll pass.

Well, we both now they took down the servers due to someone hacking the game, and trying to destroy normal players experience.
