Sorry to get off topic but how is FFXIV free? I'd definately play it if it was free..
The game is subscription-free until SquareEnix decides it has been improved to a point where people won't leave in droves when they demand money for it. So far they have not announced a date when that is, but the speculation goes it might stay free until the PS3 version launches. Which, again, has not been announced yet.
All you need to pay for is the initial box, which I got for 12€ at amazon a few weeks ago. You'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth that much to you.
On topic: I just bought the original GW trilogy to catch up on the story, might get EotN later. In between I go for some rounds in DCUO. With very little playtime available, that might almost be enough until the release of GW2.
Thanks all for all the input Im checking this thread daily..wel more quarter hourly. Please feel free to keep the thread going as I love to come back and see your responses I will definitely read and post my thoughts about it all.
I'm roleplaying a little in wow, then i play sc2 -assassins creed brotherhood- minecraft or what else i can come up with or what i feel like playing ((doungeons and dragon) i play that too xD
All great games and input besides the work out I do that enough during the day this turns out to be a pretty succesful thread Im pretty happy about it all and how interested everyone is.
I've been dabbling with FFXIV since it's free and I spent a load of money on it... mise well play it till GW2 comes out. And Elder Scrolls 5 of course...when it comes out.

FFXIV Hiromichi tanaka leaves, Game will be free until its's Good Enough
its not realy going to be free, its a trial that last longer lol
its been 4 month that the game has been free. they are losing player eachday.
lol! free trial until the game satisfies players xD!!! whats that even mean! I'm gonna have to DL this and play it now and never be satisfied Thanks for the info.
But to the main point, I've been looking for a good filler until GW2 is released too and I've pretty much found absolutely nothing worthy ! Sad times these are
Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not.
I'm on a break from MMOs: It should make me enjoy GW2 that much more I reckon, but it's actually a case of nothing standing out enough to try/stick to. I'm hoping B* on iOS/Android comes out in June and keeps me happy for a while and FROM DUST should come out about the same time too.
I tried Minecraft but the 1st person view gives me motion sickness and LoL did not work out either: Boring clicking. I should try Team Fortress 2. If GW2 fails then I'll try EvE and if that fails...
Playing WoW with my guild a bit. I log into GW1 every now and again. Playing a bunch of TF2 again. If Skyrim releases before GW2 I'll have that to occupy me.
Really you are doing yourself an injustice if you don't buy The Witcher 2 in may. If you have not already then you should buy The Witcher Enhanced Edition on steam for £6,it's one hell of a game.
Playing the first tw1 will warm you up for the epic tw2 in may.

Since the first was trite console crud, the only injustice would be in subjecting one's self to more of the same in a sequel. At least Skyrim has a pedigree of some merit.

I'm not sure if your confused or not, but the Witcher never was on consoles. The pedigree of Skyrim that you brag about is the one that was a console port. The Witcher is a great RPG if your interested in a good story and fast paced combat.
ON TOPIC: I've been playing the WAR trial. I'm waiting for Brink to come out. If your into TF2 then check it out.
Ok as so much of yall do you hear about a game and you go on a search to find something to pass the time until X game arrives maybe something your playing now? I was just curious on what you all are playing until GW2 comes knockn' I am kind of playing LOTRO but i cant get realy into it because of the quests that are overwhelming in alot of areas.
Idk if this is the right place to post this i am new and just trying to get some insight it has some to do with GW2 since its a filler until then haha
Playing a bit of Crime Craft lately but mostly just playing other games.
I was looking forward to SWTOR but the more I see of it the less Interested I become. The 40k MMO could be a big time sink for me provided they get it right. Until then I Imagine Brink and BF3, Crime Craft and EA Sports MMA will take up the small ammount of time I have for gaming.

Ironically, I don't count myself as a fan of Skyrim and I haven't been looking forward to it. I haven't seen anything that really grabs my attention and strikes me as impressive enough to make me hold my breath. But it is part of a series that been around for a good 10 to 15 years, so at least it has that going for it. Witcher though, the only memorable part of it for me was how quickly I uninstalled it.
I myself spend some time in GW1, some time in single player games and some time on boardgames and other non computer games while I wait.
It is atually pretty nice to take a break from MMOs, and it will get great to really go into games this autumn again.
There was actually a sudden feeling of relief when I realized I wasn't subscribed to any mmorpg. Actually finished Mass Effect 1 and 2 that had been sitting in my computer for months.

I respectfully disagree, I loved every minute out of Witcher and I expect the second part to be even better, controls and, ui and combat in general were certainly nothing sort of amazing, especially on the enhanced edition.
@OP Buy the witcher and get the witcher 2 when its out
Crysis 2, League of Legends, and Starcraft 2. A bit of GW1 dashed here and there, but I am to a point where a week would put me over 30 HoM points... the problem I am having is getting motivated to do what needs to be done (Hard Mode Grind, Vanquishing, and Cartographer)
People think it's fun to pretend your a monster. Me I spend my life pretending I'm not. - Dexter Morgan
I play LoL, Savage 2, GW, and some FATE. Also just downloading games, uninstalling games, trying to find one i can stick too. If there will ever be one(except for when ever GW2 comes out).
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
League of Legends for me too...just tooo damn addictive! Especially when u have a group of uber friends to play on vent and u keep owning with them XD.
sorry i just am lazy to do some research right now
but other than the pet that you will get from completing some achievements from the HoM from GW, what else will you get out of playing GW that will benefit you in GW2?

Well, you won't actually benefit from it, as all of the rewards are only cosmetically different, but you gain pets/weapons/armor/titles that are unobtainable in the actual game.

Arma2 and the working out on top of real life pretty much fill my time.
Well damn.... that's just fun to watch.... And I go to the gym 3 times a week with weights and cardio. There's room for being healthy and gaming.

I mistook the crappy controls for just another lousy console port, but you're right, it wasn't. It was just a crappy PC implementation. I actually had to look that up. But as far as pedigrees go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_history_of_The_Elder_Scrolls_series
