Hey all - anyone decided on their class yet? I thought this would be posted by now to have some fun discussion but after searching the first 5 pages I didn't see anything.
I'm narrowed down to two choices, Bounty Hunter or Sith Warrior. Both look amazing... I want a lightsabre but I want to be a bounty hunter 
Its tough. After the latest PAX videos Im truly impressed.
I think I'll include a poll on here - for funzies! 
Can't wait till this is released *drool.

My first would definitely be a trooper, for the sole reason of that oversized gatling blaster cannon in the trailers.

I want to be a trooper too, Bounty hunter second. Honestly, I never was interested in playing the force users in any Star Wars Game. Watching all the movies I always loved the the parts with the troopers and the Bounty Hunters, especially Jango and the 501st. Funny thing is the original series made me want to be a Jedi, but the newer movies made them too plentiful, losing the mystical feel. Being a badass trooper or bounty hunter is a lot more "legendary" in my opinion, especially in Old Republic.

I am going Consular first now that the class can be a tank. I was going Warrior for the melee, but I wanted to go through the Consular story. It is more of a grey path and should be a bit more cerebral than the Warrior.
Smuggler will be next, again because of how the story will play out for the class.
I can see my-self playing all the classes eventually, but Consular and Smuggler are a good start.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?

Im loving how everyone is interesting in different things. At first I was worried about seeing an over population of Jedis but now I don't think that'll be the case. Seems Troopers/Smugglers and Bounty Hunters/Agents are also very popular.
For my personal preference, the Bounty Hunter's story really interests me, far more than the Jedi's. Im just a sucker for lightsabers but ultimately I'll likely end up going with the story I enjoy most but I have a bit of time to decide yet
I can't wait for this to be released, I was hoping for a spring launch but I really feel it'll be September before it's here. Too bad because I haven't been this excited for a game in ... well frankly, ever.

I'll be rolling a Sith and a Bounty Hunter. Since I already did a Bounty Hunter in SWG I'll go sith first. I was going Sith Warrior but now with the recent reveal on the advance class system it could be the Inquisitor.

i havent decide my classes yet mainly becuase i havent decided what faction i'll be on. the main hang up is i want to play a trooper and a sith. if the sith would have some sort of trooper like class i'd be set
Rolling a smuggler, myself. I have no desire to be a Jedi, for some reason...
I almost hope that Sith/Jedi are underpowered, so no one will play them, so that they will actually feel like they are something special. But they won't be. So no matter how much I want to play ToR, which I do, I won't because force users are supposed to be slightly special or unique, but they won't be. I dunno. I guess everyone in MMOs are supposed to be superheroes, but I just feel like there will be this feeling/appearance of there being more force sensitives in the galaxy than there are unsensitives.
Bounty Hunter and if the personal storys be that good i may roll an Imperial Agent too.
I have no interest in playing a Force Freak and i like how i am hopefully send out by my customers to clean the world of Jedi while having the chance to unemploy as many Sith as possible revealing their dark betrayals and decrease the population of Force Freaks overall at a significant amount!

everything changes on almost monthly basis...
i was seto for a IA long time, than i noticet huge interest in them among my guild m8s, so looked for something new, and currently im opting for SW support/DPS/offtank, but after recent update...
my first years in WOW i was playing rogue... than SP/holy , last 2 years as retri/tank, if one class is giving me a chance to play rogue/tank, with possible AC change someday for SP/holy... damn thats a LOT of possible gameplay changes with one char, i really started to consider it
tbh, everything depends on achievemnts, i never was "achiev wh.re" in WOW, but i must admit that swaping from chars with all the "old achievs" especially raid ones, to a new class that guild needed was a bit irrytating,
so if achievs will be character bound, ill look into inquisitor a bit more, and will opt for AC change as an paid feature on account management (race change / server change in WOW), if achievements will be account bound, ill play SW as my first and opt against AC change at all.

its most popular MMO on the market currently, over 90% of MMO players knows what it is and most of them played at least trial...
so its simply easiest to mention how this or that looked in WoW, and most of people will instantly know what are we talking about.

Firstly, underpowered and something special are completely contradictory concepts. There's nothing special about underpowered.
Secondly, this isn't the SW Universe post-Jedi purge & elimination of the two known sith. This is the SW universe thousands of years before the movies. Force users are not rare or special, in terms of numbers. Nor should they be.
With that said, back to OP, I haven't completely decided as the game isn't here. But I am really looking forward to the ranged tanking. Probably Trooper.
I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

Most likely a force user, probably a Jedi Knight (I love the brown robes they wear) but for sure I am going to make an alt either a Bounty Hunter or a Trooper after, I just love the pewpew sound of Star Wars guns, but yeah definetely a force user first.
P.S. No love for the smuggler huh ?, I guess there are not that many Han Solo fans as I thought there was, I hope they get some kind of badass ability that makes people want to play them, like the imperial agent air strike.
I agree...I was giong to comment on that post as well. I have no clue what he is saying with all his abreviations on a game I don't play. His post is all gargly goop to me.
Well, I voted for Sith Warrior becuase I like melee! Also, all my alts will more than likely be on the dark side. I can't stand the goodie side of games anymore, so many people who are "high and mighty". The play the good side yet act more evil than anything I have ever seen.
I will be with my wife and she will make a sith sorcerer. We both will probably make BHs as well, me up close and her further back.
I might be seriously tempted to play a trooper, (commando) as the heavy weapons are a huge draw for me.

Sith Warrior for me. Still undecided about the advance class though but leaning towards Juggernaut.
