Oh, free-to-play / item-shop would be a dealbreaker for me as well. Paying to win is terrible, especially in a game with sandbox qualities.

Step 1, before launch: "Only vanity items! PROMISE!"
Step 2, a few months in: "Rest assured; only items you can also get out of the game! (provided you are willing to grind for 10 hours rather than pay us a few bucks)"
Step 3, six months in: "Raffle tickets to get a slim chance on acquiring very rare items giving you substantial benefits (here's where we empty the wallets of those that like to gamble and without much self-control)"

If this game does everything it promises well then it will definately be the game for me. Id preffer a sub over a cash shop but a cash shop wouldnt completely kill my interest. Only time will tell!
Well a lot of people wont want to play this game due to their hatred to asian grinder, like a lot of people do judge games before even researching them. This game isn't even out and their are already sterotyping this game to be a grinder, it might be half a sandbox, but no one knows for sure, at this point, there isn't much point hyping or hating this game.
I'm looking forward to seeing this game, but not to the point Im jumping on everyone's asses to get them to look at the game......
Because I pre-ordered and paid for Dark & Light, so I can't get excited about sandbox mmos anymore.
However, IF it released with the features promised, and it worked, and the payment model was anything other than 'pay-to-win' (I prefer P2P but I could accept a genuinnely non p2w cash shop) then I'll get excited. Very excited.
Because my first mmorpg was Anarchy Online, I really liked it and waiting since then for another great scifi mmorpg, but the problem is, that the last 9 of 10 mmorpgs I played had elfs in them?

oh get real... when wasnt cash shop designed for pay to win... every freakin asian F2P has it... they have to earn money somehow and i dont think ppl will buy only fashion items from cash shop... i dont understand people who play F2P MMOs and they are proud because they dont pay monthly fee when they spend later in game like 10 times more (and it isnt that much O.O) and brag about it how they arent on P2P game
Well...I don't think I can play another MMO where there are say, 20 mobs milling around on a beach and me and 4 of my friends start beating up a mob or 2 and the other 18 nearby mobs just keep milling around like nothing is going on.
I think for me at this point it's all about the AI. It needs to progress and become more intelligent and responsive or I'll quickly grow bored like I have in the last few games I've played. I don't think I can shoot fish in a barrel anymore and be entertained.
Because its a Fantasy MMO, I've been very bored of those lately. But I will most likely still give ArcheAge a try though. We need to branch out there are tons of other kinds of tabletop rpgs that go from 1930' Gangster settings to Zombie survival horror. The MMORPG scene has been stagnant for some time now IMO, we need new settings.
I do like the sound of this and of course graphics wise looks good too..
I love open world pvp but i hope it has full loot otherwise its kinda pointless.
IF it does not have full loot them my chances of trying this are slim.. but we will ahve to wait and see as its no where near rdy for this part of the world.
Caldrin, I don't see many games in the future having full loot systems for one major reason. That is a turnoff for tons and tons of people, myself included.
Now if they introduced something similiar to the karma system that was in L2, that would be a different story for me altogether. Mind you, I would prefer it if they changed it a bit. Like if you have declared war on another clan maybe have full loot when you are fighting against them. I just have always had a problem with getting ganked when I first start out, followed by, not only to have lost that play time and experience ooints, but to then have to completely re-outfit myself afterwards just makes things not fun. With fun being the ultimate goal for me when playing games.
I'll ask you this, what about full loot systems is so great compared to a partial look sytem? Granted I am under the belief that if you kill someone their should be some kind of benefit for you, unless you're ganking low levels then I think that you should lose something or have some type of negative effect.
At the moment I can´t find any reason to NOT play. This is the game I´m looking forward to most atm. This or GW2 will steal my heart. Probably both of em.

This is why I've kept my hype level low. I'd love for this game to deliver on what's promised, just like ...... well, no MMO has yet.
I'd rather see a more realistic design at launch than promises of features that seem like some sort of miracle.
Maybe this will be the one.....

Only 50% freedom when compared to Lineage 2, griefing and scamming not allowed (blame EVE).
NCsoft patched Lineage2 after C2 or 3 so you werent able to drop items in pvp anymore. LA2 is not that hard as it was at release.
