There - A Game Worth Checking Out

There is what you would call a Virtual World. There is not your average game you see every day. You could say its not a game at all. In fact for some, they think of it as a new begining or a new life. Its not as dumb as it sounds.

I've been a member of There for over a year now. I joined right after open beta and have seen There change so much. I have helped over 50 new members get started and get going in their new There life. I've shown them ancient ruins of There's past and showed them great buildings members have built.

I have explored and found things beyound your wildest dreams. There is truely a uniqe place and not like any other game you've ever seen. I've seen cities in space and temples dedicated to ancient gods. I think any type of person could truely find There to be a magical and relaxing place...

3 day trial....... why 3?! they had to make it 3.... not 14?! or atleast 7........ but THREE, is it cuz it starts with T?! why no tmake it thirteen!

edit: i watched the video....... corny..... ionno, the movement and interface seem weird.......

No its not free, but it is 4.95 a year. Its pretty cheap but fun. If you need help getting started i'm Jb333 in world. Have fun!

yeah 5 bucks a year is like nothing... thats like 2 cents a week.... but like the interface is corny.... looks like your in Third Person Omnicent view....

So this is a game for people that have no social life for real and would rather waste their real life in a virtual world. Please...get out people! Get some sunshine! Go meet real, breathing, talking people! If you have to resort to this kind of thing, you need some serious psycho therapy.

Actaully there is a better game like that one right There. It's called Second Life. I think you should try the 7 day trial out (a speical offer by MMORPG.com) for yourself here. You need a credit card though....

People like different things. Don't get bummed because some 12 year olds dont know how to act in public. I'm always looking for new games. Thanks for making us aware of There i'm sure alot of people will check it out.

I will never set foot in Second Life again! Those animals have done so many sick and twisted things to our community it hurts to hear or see those words. I can't bare to type or speak about those ruthless animals. They are people you want nothing to do with!

Eh, well we do know how to act in public. There have been 2 Real Life Gatherings in the past two years. Its very exciting to meet some of the famous members in our community. Its also exciting to meet those on your buddy list for the first time.

I played "There" before, its not a bad game, its actually entertaining. You can do alot of things in this game and meet peoples from all over the world. Its a decent game even tho I don't play it anymore, I still have some good memories from it.

'ditto'. I played There a couple months (years maybe?) ago and I was really impressed with it. It was surprisingly fun; although meeting people is the main objective really. 3-d chat if you must. Regardless, still a decent 'game' in my mind.

Take it from these two. They know what they are talking about. There is not really a game. Calling it a game is an insult to the members really. But There is a place, and many people enjoy There. People make real life money off of There too.

Real life designers from all around the world come and grace us with breath taking things. ThereOrleans, Atlantis, Mansions, Space Cities, ect... Truely an amazing place and worth a try. Words can't describe how There is. Truely amazing...

There is just a cheap rip off version of Second Life. I've played both games alot. I don't exactly know why people would play There when you could play Second Life?

I'll tell you why! Why would a member of Second Life create posters of There avatars being sliced apart? Why would you "Lifers" create shirts with There avatars being shot? What human wishes that upon someone else? That is sick! You all are sick! You hate us for being loyal to a Virtual World!

There is not cheap nor is it a rip off. I can't wait till I can talk in person with a Second Life member. I could put my feelings to rest. I could tell him or her how the ill will of Second Life members has caused nothing but pain. You kind of people get me started!

You people dare come into our peacful world and grief upon those who have done nothing to you. You make death threats to us and make sick jokes which are not needed. We have tryed to become friends but you offer nothing but hate in return. I have had enough of you sick freaks!

If I catch another Second Life member in There I will do all which I can do to make Linden Labs get shut down. All of us Therians have had enough of your ill will and hate. We have put up with it since your beta days. Freaks! That is what Second Life members are. Freaks!

Well I will check out the trial.. but geez if this is really a good game... maybe they have make a good trailer for it... the trailer looks really corny... so maybe some people find it really wierd playing it... I'll try the 3 day trial... I'll post again and I'll tell how I find the game... ok?

I hate Second Life! I hate the people who play it! The members of Second Life are ruthless and sick! The acts they have commited against There are unspeakable! They have showed nothing but hate even during their beta days.

They have always hated us for being loyal to our world. We stand by the community and don't dare go to Second Life. For that we are hated and I guess we should of known this would happen. But then there are a few who "move on" and go to Second Life.

They join in with more cruel jokes and more shirts of Avatars getting slottered. Second Life is a cult of insane freaks who should not be on the streets! It makes me sick when I see those two words. I remember seeing the shirts and posters with my own two eyes.

I remember thinking to myself how someone could create such things. How people could have such hate and emotion in their hearts. How they could sleep at night knowing the cruel things they have done to us in the past. Its truely heart wrenching.

It's called being born a human, it makes us all very angry. Actually, the world is a very cruel place at the moment... but it won't last, cruelty ends where good begins. Time and time again throughout history imoral acts have failed and moral prevailed. Of course, there's so very few moral acts that it's hard to really account them for much... Maybe our views of what is moral has changed over the past few hundred years and that's why.

Anyways, good will prevail because it is a better, more efficient adaptation than imoral acts. With time, I'm sure second life will get better and if it doesn't... ignore it or try to fix something a little more important like stopping the neo-nazi's or racism in the world... not people drawing dead pictures of game characters on shirts. I have a hard time telling if you're really just a person who spends his life online, or if you're role playing... or if you're actually serious, anyways I thought I'd post something semi-serious just to be careful not to hurt anyone. :P

Yes we're talking about video games. So what? Just because There and Second Life are games does not make the acts of Second Lifes members right. Does it? No, in fact I think they should be hunted down and put in jail for the threats they have made.

They have made threats agianst Therians lives for as long as I have been a member of There. I have never seen a Second Life member be friendly to a Therian. Never! They say we don't respect them enough but they dare do all of the above? To me they are sick and freaks!

There is no doubt in my mind one day someone from Second Life is going to go to jail for making the wrong comment to the wrong person. It is so sad that they would say and do what they do. It is simply sad that we have to share the internet with these freaks. With these creeps.

Whoa there killer. I haven't come into your community or game and griefed anybody. I can do that in Second Life if I wanted to. Don't judge a group based on a select few members.
