Yoda reflected force (sith) lightning back at Dooku he also just absorbed it and made it harmless. So its not quite the same thing as generating it himself. FFS how many nerd points did I just rack up by knowing that?

Hmm, that depends do you lose point's or gain them by sitting through the prequels?

Good question. I know I lost a ton of brain cells and a significant portion of my will to live after watching the damn things.

No, he blocked Dooku's lightning :)

Perhaps in order to use lightning you need to draw from the dark side. Maybe that's why Jedi don't use it. Purely a guess.

The "dark side" of the portion of the force that is enhanced and powered by the emotions and passions of the weilder.  So from what I've seen and read, force lightning is the ampification of this portion of the force to the point of an electrical discharge from the organic flesh of the force user. Since it is directly related to the darker portion of emotions and desires it tends to corrupt the user, but I believe the stronger Jedi are able to harness this while keeping the influence of these emtions in check.

Yeah, I'm sure there are many fallen Jedi who thought the same thing.

LOL, I just laughed in my office.  The RP dripping off your statement.  Not making fun of you, but it just made my brain laugh. Yeah I think the amount of Jedi that can resist the dark side and not turn at all, while using the abilities, are about as often as The One from the Matrix, but anything is possible.

I had actually managed to narrow it down to the Consular, inquisitor, agent, or smuggler as my first toon.  Then they came out with that Trooper Progression Video and threw a new spin into my world.  GEEZ!

    I'm going Human Shadow.
