They wont let you trade in UO or GW, since the CDkey is bound to YOUR account, rendering that CDkey useless to someoen else.
Gamespot and EB don't trade in software.

They wont allow you to trade in Guild Wars. Because it requires a cd key and an account to play you cant trade it in because anyone who buys it wont be able to play it. Even if you get a clerk that doesn't realize this (not knowing its an online only game), the trade-in price will not show up on the computer when they check (if you're planning to go somewhere like EBgames or GameStop). So you're going to have to find another game.
Edit: Dang, other two beat me to it.

To be honest sounds like a joke, but CD key'ed games cannot and will not be allowed as a trade in game, and yes EB games does trade in games. It used to be alot of stores were not aware of CD keys or still arnt that some games feature a unqiue key to prevent multiple installations on multiple machines(Online play).
The reasons that PC games are no longer allowed to be traded in are due to viruses and improper disc content. CDKeys are just another reason why they aren't allowed.

Gamestop/ EB games do not sell used games. Check their websites. It also doesnt say anything about selling them at their OWN STORES.
Making stuff up, eh?
Actually, Gamespot does trade in games for credit or bills. If you ask for bills, their is a 10% deduction in return.

Quit making false assumptions. Analysts figure out how much games are worth used after an X period of time. Those analysts then tell stores what to charge via a server. The employee then checks the server for the price. The most I have gotten for a returned game was 38.50 for my copy of MGS3 after it had been gold for 2 months.

Let's say you get lucky and get a person in the store that lets you sell/trade in games with CD-keys. One day later, a guy comes by and spend his $40 hard earned cash and buys that game you just sold. He goes home to find out "The CD-Key you entered has already been used", he goes back to the store but they don't give him a refund.
Will you be happy knowing that?
I know I wouldn't.
Gamestop does by used games. Because at Gamestop i sold about 20 ps1 and 10 ps2 games and a ps2 and a N64 and a PS1 and about another 13 games from other systems and controllers. And I got about 120 or a 150$ i cant remember in cash and was worth it. If you got a guy that just started working at EB or Gamestop he might not realize that it is online.

There is a big difference between used PC games and used console games. Gamestop has no problem giving in-store credit because they don't have to worry about cd-keys, accounts, etc. With PC games, however, most have cd-keys just to install (even if it cannot tell if it is a duplicate unless it has online multiplayer) or create accounts. They won't take a PC game because it is too easy to install the game, use the cd-key, and then return it to the store. They wouldn't be thinking straight if they allowed it.

I'm 90% sure the EB by me has a bin of used PC games or they are just really beat up for no reason. There isn't anything recent or any MMO's in it though, could be left over from a time they actually bought them?
Both accept trade in of console games and sell pre-played games. Check their site agian and look under the pre-played selection.

mister Gus, it's not worth a damn try because, as others have stated, you can't sell any games with a key that binds to your account. I hope you do try just so they tell you to your face. With all those games listed, I doubt you even get like $35.
