Definitely daoc, probably around time DF came out, definitely pre-toa though.
As far as people saying going back and doing the 30 days over again, a small edit would probably be 30 days of subjective time played. So after your 30 days, thats it, even if you did the same day 30 times, still a subjective 30 days. That was probably intended by the OP, it just wasn't specifically laid out.
DAoC was great, but nothing compared to reading a bunch of your friends names scroll by with a "just killed by (good/chaos)", and having your heart stop as your mind raced to consider shortest/quickest routes to a bank or hiding. Receiving tells from friends "Loon stole my stuff, we can't let him get back on the boot with my gear.".

I'd say go back in time get out of house arrest and become the ceo of blizzard and get rid of premium accounts!!!
Yeah most likey Diablo 2 its like first exposure ever to mmo world. I remembered the first time my sibling bought an item online through Ebay. An enigma for 2 bucks.
1) Assuming I keep the game knowledge I have now and am going back in time to enjoy the game and community of an MMO of my choice - Dark Age of Camelot, right when Darkness Falls was released (I think the initial battlegrounds like Thidranki and pvp talents were released around then too).
2) Assuming my game knowledge of the present day is lost, and I have to re live gaming at a point in time in the past - Everquest, right when Kunark (first expansion) was released. There was an utter CRAPTON of excitement going on with the game and community at that point. It was simply unreal.
I'd go X number of years into the past and shoot the guy who had the original idea of WoW so it never existed but then if I did that I would proberbly never be on these forums anyway so I would'nt be reading this thread so I would never have been able to go back into the past and shoot him so WoW would have been made anyway then I would be reading this thread and have gone back into the past to shoot him and .........
I'd go back to the first time I met a few individuals in wow who taught me that not all MMO players are tossers- is 4 odd years ago now. Starting to feel old.
Future - Hands down, Guild Wars 2. Loved what I played at the conventions and since then it has only gotten more interesting.
Past - Hmm...this one is harder, mostly because I've played nearly every MMO in the past, and I'm not longer playing them...for a reason. The only one I never got to play was Star Wars, pre or post NGE. I suppose I'd go back to play that (pre-NGE) just to see what all the fuss was about.

This is why I wouldn't use a time machine.
if my memory was erased id play all these games in general despite not all of them being mmos or multiplayer at all:
daoc at its prime
wow at its prime
dota 5 years ago
jedi academy 8 years ago
gothic 1
need for speed 5
diablo 1-2
World of Darkness
-past-
DragonRealms!! Thats right, I listed a mud.
-Alternate reality-
U02 and Hero's Journey, two games that never made it to launch
Past: WoW at launch. I only started in WotLK, and everyone laments of how good "those days" were
Future: Whichever game takes over the EvE slot. Hopefully in a not-to-distant future...
...But it probably will be a while
Time Machine? Doctor Who MMO?

Darkness Falls: The Crusade for sure.

Kind of wish they would bring back old school Mythic Realms.

haha omgsh fine!
I guess this is a better way of "rephrasing" it.
Thats a hard choice too many MMORPGS out there.

I'd go back and do AC1 again during the Shadow Wars. That was some of the best MMO times I've ever had.
UO pre trammel is a close second to AC1.
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!
Past:
pre-CU SWG
Future:
ArcheAge
NEW IDEAS that can refresh the STALE state of MMORPGs
Either Baldurs gate online or The witcher online
Two scenarios for this one.
1) Assuming I keep the game knowledge I have now and am going back in time to enjoy the game and community of an MMO of my choice - Dark Age of Camelot, right when Darkness Falls was released (I think the initial battlegrounds like Thidranki and pvp talents were released around then too).

Without a bit of hesitation, Rubies of Eventide.

I would play Anarchy Online before the Shadowlands expansion.
