Yes 1 standard and 1 CE although Gamestop codes were screwed up all CEs were coming out as standard, I'll just pickup the CE when the box arrive at release the codes are only for early access and the color crystal.
Smart move.
I bought the digital deluxe through origins so I could pre-download before the game. I don't have to own anything physically personally. The codes were limited so I bought 1 to get that out of the way. I'd still like to know the monthly sub price.
Same here, hope they don't try to set the standard by raising the sub fees, I am actually all for a lifetime sub with this one, but I don't see that happening. I'll will take a 12 month sub if I can't get a lifetime I am in with ToR for the long haul.
I have to wait til 5pm to pre order. Stuck at work. But I plan on getting the CE.
Question: Can you still be invited to "Beta weekends" if you signed up for beta but didn't pre-order? I believe so since the pre orders should be for the early access right?
from the press release:
As anticipation grows, BioWare also proudly announced today that Star Wars: The Old Republic will open "Beta Test Weekends" starting this September. These weekend play sessions will be open to selected players worldwide and create an opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek of the epic stories, worlds, quests, battles and characters in the game. Please visit www.StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com to register for game testing and to stay tuned throughout the summer for more details as they become available.

I agree. I don't see a lifetime with this kind of caliber game. For sure a 12 month. Its hard to imagine that Bioware will go higher than the industry norm of $15 a month. But you never know.
I'll be pre-ordering a copy of the digital deluxe version when I get the chance.
I don't need or want the physical swag of the CE and I'm not worried about the CE Store. I can live with the digital one just fine.
FYI, those that order a CE will still get to play the game with out needing the physical copy in hand. Thats what the pre-order/early access code is for.

No, I've been here and done this so many times just to see a game fail so hard. I've refused to pre-order any mmorpg as they just don't deliver. I'll wait and see what people say after it's released and if BioWare can actually pull this off.
No, because I have tried it and seen exactly what it's about. I can only see me playing it for a month or so with a few friends so paying premium for a meaningless headstart and a 'color stone' is silly.
I will buy the standard edition when it hits the shops, as will they.
My option is not there. Wanted to get the digital one, but EAs map of europe is somewhat strange, they excluded half of it, so I couldn't.
EA is limiting copies so the users have the best gaming experience. This is why I bought. I think after a certain point the game will close for the rollout/day one.
As long as I can play from day one, don't care too much about the head start. If they decide that I am such a 2nd class player that I get to play it like 1-2 months after the release, as much as I have waited for this game, I'll skip it.
I preordered. I ordered 2. One of them will be given to the lottery winner in my guild.
I look forward to giving input into an exapnsion that focuses on the same game for TOR- the ground was really fun to play. I hope they get their load balaners all fired up for september testing.
The days of getting hyped over a MMO are over for me; I've been burnt too many times in the past. I'm going to wait for the game to come out and read some constructive reviews from the players or hopefully trial the game before jumping in. The other benefit of this approach is I will avoid the bedlam of the first few weeks, i.e. sever queue's, over crowding etc.
I pre-ordered the CE from amazon. I'm thinking I might sit out for the first month (depending on how things go with queues and whatnot). But I will play, and I typically go for CEs whenever possible.

I'm really not that concerned about the goodies, or keys, I just want the game.

nope,
Cool. I signed up on the first day they annouced they were accepting applicants. *here's hoping!*
Know the list, belive me. My country is both in europe and the EU, yet it's not on the list. Not the only one in this situation also.

Did you preorder SWTOR?

Yeah just preordered the CE and I liked it!
This whole conversation is getting weird ... Just plain weird
indeed i did
You do get early access on weekends. You won't get into beta right away or anything, but you will get to play in september (but I'm hoping sooner)
Why would I pre-order a game that doesn't even have a release date?>
"When it comes to GW2 any game is fair game"
too much experience with preorders and "early eaccess" promises and servers are lagged out from that moment and unplayable.
