Snack sized pvp is pretty essential to me in terms of whether I enjoy a game as a whole and so far Guild Wars has given me the best experience in that regard. Any game where you can simply join a pick up group within mere seconds and finish a fight within a few minutes is amazing. Although, the pvp does have to offer rewards that can accumulate from these short play sessions that parallel those offered for prolonged pvp sessions.
Eve online's offline skill training. I prefer it since it's easier to consider a toon's character overtime than it is just assuming current conditions imply anything about what you will do a year from now.
