What makes RIFT a GOOD/BAD game

  As for expected in any MMO there's more than enough examples to the contrary out now. Eve, DCUO, some even older bits. It's really sad you're going to be so in to a knock off game.

  I wouldn't say there is anything bad about Rift. It is a well made game and comes with all the basic features most MMOs offer.

   

  The reason I and many others won't be playing it, is not because we can call it bad or it has problems, but because it doesn't really offer anything new. I'm already playing a quest grinder with very linear progression. I already have an established guild that does nightly dungeon runs and raids three nights a week. I could ask a bunch of my friends to shell out money to start over in a new game and be back to raiding in a month, just to be playing a different quest grinder with linear progression....

   

  So while some people will be happy jumping into a new game with the same old features, many others just don't feel the need to spend more money to play something so similar to what we are already playing.
