The wife and I did pre-order as well. Woke up, got our coffee, watched news and then checked emails and boom.. "PREORDER NOW"... I was out the door to Gamestop before I figured I had on two different shoes. To say I've been waiting for the game for awhile is an understatement. Yes, its only pre-order and no release date yet but, I"ve put my faith in Bioware before and they deliver fantastic games like Tyson delivers a KO punch to the jaw of Glass Joe.
Pre-ordering a video game is absolutely ludicrous. Don't care what game it is, don't care what genre it is.
Wait for a damn review.
Even if you've already played and enjoyed it?
I haven't played it.
I don't do Beta testing for video games. I don't like having a character get deleted forcing me to redo what I've already accomplished. I won't be participating inthe September "Open Try Outs" for this game either. I'll play it when it releases, but based on the gameplay videos... I've played about 4 or 5 games just like this one already.
Nope and not going to buy it. Don't see the appeal in a Massive Multiplayer Online Game. Observe the subtle difference between Massively Multiplayer and Massive Multiplayer.
I pre-ordered CE , but now the friends I was going to play with, well....one died, and the other is on a massive walkabout. Thinking I'm going to play darkside now. Darkness, despair, betrayal...Will be looking for an EU PVE RL friendly Guild.
I did pre-order, but then I canceled it. Being a fan of Star Wars in general, and Guild Wars (dont make this to another SWToR vs GW2 debate) I was gonna get both because I would only have to pay for 1 monthly. But since my economy aint the best and wont be for a while. I've decided to wait for SWToR untill my wallet get more to keep then lose. So for now, I dont play any MMO's atm. the F2P I've tried just made me sad.
I have friends who have pre-ordered the collector's edition. I personally haven't liked a single Bioware game since Baldur's Gate but I really wish I did. I just don't see the fun factor in their games, this MMO included. It looks like yet another two faction, quest hub, linear progression game that I never liked to begin with. I guess it doesn't help I don't like Star Wars that much either. More power to those who enjoy it, but GW2 definitely looks more interesting simply because it's being innovative.
I've always thought pre-ordering video games, especially MMORPGS, is kind of a gamble. I have the patience and experience to wait for the reviews and player feedback.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

Pre-ordered the standard edition since the CE was already sold out.
But!!! I am still scouring the interwebs for that CE.

Informing people about your thoughts and impressions is not a review, it's a blog.

I pre-ordered the CE, and after spending quite a bit of time playing the game, am SO VERY GLAD that I did.
