There are tons of F2P games to play this season and they are pretty good too! Like Dragon Nest, Argo Online, Digimon Online, Eden Eternal, Dragona, Rusty Hearts, Luvinia Online and a bunch more. I suggested this games because i viewed them myself and for me this F2P are the most addicting games this season.
Which you think is better to play atm for PvP fun? Allods or RoM?
Either game is horrid in terms of PvP
In RoM, if you are starting now, prepare to drop over $500 to gear out at max level, not to mention the gearing needed after level 55 to start running dungeons, it is impossible to do anything with quest gear after than......questing.
Allods, I heard the cash shop has been "fixed" but the combat was so slow for me it just didn't work out past lvl 9. Killing a rabbit with my ranger class (forgot what it is called) takes more than 30sec of spamming one skill.
For F2P nowadays, I suggest to try the ones that are hybrid model, the ones turned F2P after being P2P, Champion Online and LOTRO for example. They are at least higher quality and overall better design as a functional game than the others.
How much WoW could a WoWhater hate, if a WoWhater could hate WoW? As much WoW as a WoWhater would, if a WoWhater could hate WoW.
Im on this kick of remembering the past and playing what started all this. I play Underlight:Shades of Truth, there was suppose to be a sequel to it called Reclamation but it was halted due to funds. There was even an own section for it here at mmorpg for few years. That and meridian 59 I play for kicks. There both f2p but meridian 59 takes like 3 months to get an account cause there mail is backed up.
I play wow on and off and I hear that might go f2p, dont forget about RF Online, people still play that and its free.

Heh, I played M59 15 years ago, cost 10 bucks a month then.
Wow might go F2P, yes.. In China. In the West will it be P2P for a few more years unless something really drastic happens.
I am looking for F2P mmorpg but I dont want those games that recently became F2P and made only 50% of the game available for F2P players and if you want to enjoy whole game you must pay.
If you have the right mindset, EQ2 is by far the most value of the p2p > f2p crowd
Nothing is restricted content wise besides the latest expansion, and thats not a big deal since theres so much content already and you wont even notice its gone until the new one is out anyway.
the big thing is you are restricted to lower tier of armor and lower teir (but still powerful) spells. If you didnt know the higher stuff existed you would be none the wiser, but you will see lots of drops you cant use.
A one time $10 fee will drop off the common annoying f2p issues like bank and bags space and gold caps and such. They willstill be there, but youll have more than you need.
Content wise eq2 f2p has more content than any major AAA MMO outside of EQ1. It dwarfs them really.

While there are plenty good PvE F2P games they all suck badly in PvP. I would say AoC is the best of them PvP wise.
Unless you count WARs free T1, it is probably the best there is.
Selling useful items turns PvP into something really bad.

Best f2p I've played so far is Eden Eternal.
RoM is fun for like 2 days. Fiesta is decent if you spend 50$ a month.
Vindictus is great for a couple days as well- once the novel combat gets old and the grinding instances starts not so much.
How is LOTRO?
