Are there any stategy MMOs, like RTS MMO's? Or turn based mmo's that arent buy to win?
dawn of fantasy looks interesting but haven't tried it.
you could check out mmorts.com for some others, most essentially seem to be trading card games with a basic rts as advertising in the mmorts genre(up to u if u like that)
Id play LoL if it wasn't a PvP game, like if it had the option to fight AI
They implemented co-op versus AI awhile ago, and the bot AI is actually pretty challenging to newer players to the genre, and they intend to release a harder difficulty eventually.

I'm in Dawn of Fantasy beta...it has various modes in it.
One is Total War style mode, "Kingdom Mode"...you conquer stuff on a campaign map. But, you can go into your city and build stuff and train units...and combat mostly revolves (currently) around sieging castles with HUGE armies.
One is a castle defense/siege mode...and it is what the name implies. Good practice for actual game, and good for a quick 15 minute session.
The main thing is the online kingdoms. Currently, there isn't too much in it and it is currently offline. The next patch "should" bring in Alliances (guilds/clans or whatever else name gets used) and a lot of other things not yet announced. Online kingdoms is the MMO part of DoF. They plan to make it so your alliance can conquer territories and control land and what not, but at moment it isn't currently in. Maybe the next patch will bring that out. Really, I'm gonna buy DoF based on me wanting to support their future ideas with the MMO mode (which a lot of it sounds awesome)...simply because there isn't really a true MMORTS "high" quality one, that is out, that isn't browser based. And the combat with armies is awesome.
However, it is an indie company, so they have their limitations with money. Their publisher, however, let them push back the release, so the game is more ready...which I thought was awesome, not many publishers/companies do that.
(edit)
I should add, it isn't truly free...but it is free in the sense, Guild Wars is free. You buy the box, and never have to pay any fee (except expansions)...but you can play for free, just need to buy the box first.

Sounds awesome. So I'll have to buy it but after that it's completely free? Any idea on release date and price?

No pricing at moment, and release date is the end of September. Preorders get a lot of influence (used to purchase expansions, can get enough to get two expansions), and other bonuses. You can earn influence in-game too. Now, there is a cash shop...BUT...like the "best" item in the shop is a black dragon I believe it is...and while one would think it would be overpowered, but it takes a lot of army points (think 20-30 they said), AND spearmen/archers can take them down sorta easily. So it is rather balanced. Dragons seem more to siege and burn stuff, than to fight.
I can guess on a price, but it hasn't been announced. One site lists it I think at 15 euro preorder, but it isn't official and seems like a shady site.
But yes, buy it and play for free and expansions add stuff, but aren't really required. They sound like they'll add nice things, though.
Just keep in mind, the game like I said is an indie dev, so it won't be AAA quality of major MMOs. Some things won't make it for release, but they plan some really awesome stuff.
Even thought it isn't F2P, I am seriously considering given EVE Online a go.
If you put in the effort you can play eve for free.
Correct, but it will still need a few months of investement first before you reach that level to make 300+ mil isk per month and be able to support losses in PvP. Also eve is a long term investment game not one you pick up while waiting for the next one.
For the F2P games I would say LoTRO is pretty decent, and with a lot of investment and dedication you can unlock everything in the game without paying a cent, however I would at least advice to take a sub the first month or 2.
Now to continue the list we got CO as well which I like and is a perfect game for killing time and you can get a lot out enjoyment out of the free play part. So my advice to the OP is CO (Champions Online). CoH will also fall into this category when it goes F2P.

Rise of Immortals defintely deserves some attention I'd say, great polished game.
Then of course LoL and HoN >____>
I'd want to say Eden Eternia, but I'l be damned if the game doesn't slow to a crawl too quickly.
Id play LoL if it wasn't a PvP game, like if it had the option to fight AI
My number 1 would be a game that is often overlooked, yet has some of the best features of any live mmo. Ryzom
Ryzom feature list http://www.ryzom.com/en/mmorpg-rpg-mmo-features.html
It simply is the best ftp mmo experience. Not for the faint hearted, not easy but hugely rewarding for the mature intelligent gamer.

Check it out.
Will defo check it out, thanks!

If you're tired of Fantasy, I guess EVE will be the game of choice. Otherwise there's LoTRO, Allods, AoC, ...
Waiting for Guild Wars 2, and maybe SWTOR until that time...
Yeah definitely gonna pre-order that dawn of fantasy, looks awesome. Just hoping they dont limit you loads, forcing you to get DLC

For me it is, League of Legends.
I hear good things about LoTRO as well.
