there are no mmos that i've played that need a major graphic update, variation is nice.
How ever, theres a plethorea of mmos that I would like to be remade with superiour gameplay updates.
there are so many games out there, perfect setting, giant world, possibly great graphics but alot of them miss the mark when it comes to fun gameplay. Take warhammer PVP/Wow pvp/Granado espada , those games deliver polished combat. Its immersive, its fun!
Theres probably a couple of games I haven't played which give a good value of gameplay, these are just an example.
I hope people get my point and not flame me for my examples. Good gameplay is ofcourse subjective, and this is all entirely my opinion. We don't need to share an opinion on something to make a good point.
Edit: Dragon Nest has fun gameplay aswell!

I'd like to say DAoC, but really, the more I think of it the more I realize it was more similar in its prime to today's MMO's than I originally dreamt.

Yeah after Mythic made daoc I never understood how they could screw up warhammer so damned bad, when DAoC to this day still has the best pvp avail in a mmorpg. DAoC had good pve and great pvp.
Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:
A. Proven right (if something bad happens)
or
B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)
The Lord of the Rings Online. I know it's not that old, but the graphics and lack of artisitic direction have always been a major weekness for the game. Hopefully, a graphics upgrade would differetiate the zones, make the armor and weapons bearable, make the dwarves less cumbersome and make the enemies a bit more threatening.
Because I am so freaking sick of dragons, elves, dwarves and orcs I could puke.
Lol yeah, the whole fantasy shit has been done way to much they need to move the hell away from it, elves, dwarfs and orc's have been done pretty much everyway possible.

Matrix Online, another fantastic IP killed by SOE.
Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security. I don't Forum PVP. If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident. When I don't understand, I ask. Such is not intended as criticism.
The game had a succient mix of risk vs reward that allowed casual gamers to partake in it without utterly being crushed and at the same time with the siege destruction allowed those willing to take part in the greater risk have some of the most engaging gameplay I have seen in mmo gaming.
Updating this game is always on my wishlist for developers to take a chance upon minus the exploits of course. The "new" generation of gamers also who are on the iv drip of newest and most impressive visuals would have more interest in this game's format if the graphics were upgraded.
SWTOR is coming to life soon and takes the Science Fiction market, EvE holds it own, both will have a long life.
Until Daoc 2 is made its 5 years later and the market and me be ready for a good fantasy mmo again with the best pvp system out for non space mmos and hopefully with advanced gameplayelements as graphic only is not enough.
SWG 2 will have no chance for the next 10 years.

Another vote for Anarchy Online, although I probably wouldn't go back and play it, it has too many other problems. They've promised a new graphics engine for how many years now?
Pre-CU SWG. It was conceptually the best mmorpg ever made.
could not agree more with this
I could.
ASHERONS CALL is by far the best MMO ever designed and nothing before or ever is as close in gameplay. Plus AC offers, even to this day, monthly content updates.
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
Precu SWG all the way. I'd also be curious to see if they could improve load times so there would be less pop in with houses, vegetation, creatures, etc. My computer is probably 10 times more powerful than the original computer on which I played SWG.
I would like to see a remake of Ryzom. The depth of gameplay, and actually getting to make items not from recipes, but simply combining different elements of a basic formula, the ability to create and customize spells. If it was tweaked with modern graphics and controls, it would be a awesome!

UO?
My theme song.
For me it would have to be Everquest before all the expanisions!
I'd say Dark Age of Camelot.

3d maplestory would rock
Everquest 1 or Ultima Online.

Anarchy Online to this day its the only good sci-fi mmorpg out there and probally will still be the only decent one years to come.

I'll second both. EQ was great pre luclin, but needed talent trees and aa's.
WoW..
Just TRY and flame me!1!

uhm this is easy. Everquest
DAOC and EQ were a toss up for me..
ToA would have been cool if they kept the "i win" skills out of it and nerfed some of the artifacts.
