Well that's easy, WoW's time line is happening now (so to speak) it's not like we're playing Lotro where things cannot change cus they've already happened.  Affectivly the Monks have not arrived in WoW so the undead and still being rogues etc but in a few months time this new race will bring new teachings to Azeroth and few undead will say "hey that looks like fun, teach me".

Far to many get caught up in lore, Warcraft's story has not been written, it has not been set in stone, as things happens the story will be written.  We're not rewriting a story cus there's no story to rewrite.

Expresso, I was talking about the spiritual thing. Dont find logical also undead (forsaken) priests, discipline priests that is.

The wow monks idea  is probably based in shaolin´s monks. They are budist and protect life all sorts of. I dont see forsaken trying to protect all living creatures sorry.

They might want to be careful doing the repeating roundhouse kick's, their legs might fly off.

Ok a monk dies and becomes an undead. But he is not a monk anymore!!! Its like the pope dies, returns to life and still is the pope!!! No No No . In that case, he must forgett his former life and begin a new one. Also females cant be monks. Ok this last one I dont care too much, but still find it ridiculous the idea of  amonk class for forsaken.

Vanilla wow was more lore-wise. Shamen can only be horde and pallis alliance. I dont like the idea of lore being always changing. The atracctive of lore is to follow some rules, some regulations, not to do whatever they want. If not we could see soon robot like creatures (ala starcraft) because they entered the robot pet when they launched starcrft 2 . Remember?

lore has been out this window for this game for awhile. imo i think its ok for allies to have shamans but not warlocks. the whole we hate demons but oh hai vampiress and how is your imp doing today seems off kilter and thats from vanilla

Well , unless i'm mistaking, aren't undeads or unholy beings (like DK's) supposed to "burn" when bestowed with the light? Yet there are undead priests and my dk actually received HP when being healed by a priest.

Lore has long been on holiday since WoW.

The scarlet crusade already had monks, lots of them became undead... there is the answer.

I insists. the whole idea is taking form asian culture and sacred monks, budism and all that matters. An undead cant be by no means a shaolin monk or similar!!!! They learn as children how to respect and protect life. Forsaken are the opposites!!!

You will never see a sith clad in pink  protecting cute critters. Or a jedi killing kids and women everywhere.

I laughed so hard I ended up in the hospital.  I'm back, and I might sue you on the grounds of a personal injury claim.

WoW is just a video game dude.

They can write whatever lore they want for their fantasy fictional world and change it as they see fit.

Agreed.  There are Monks in Scarlet Monestary.  They even fight with fists.

Hello? What part of "budist monks" you dont understand?

Do you think a catholic monk is the same as a oriental monk? Big mistake.

For a shaolin monk to reach spiritual perfection, he must balance body and soul.... yes you read well "body" not bones...

More seriously, people need to understand the depth world of oriental monks, spirituality, meditation etc...

I am a undead monk and I dance... heavy metal yeah!!!!

On the other way, why are not pandaren dks?
