This thread is not intened to start a flame war or anything
Im just here to stick up for some of us guys scared to post our real feelings on this issue
Video and pc games is a mainly guys world and girls sometimes think they
they should be treated extra special cause they play......
Im not saying they cant play our games
Just they should act as if they dont deserve extra attention or help if they are girls
In my experience , when someone finds out someone is a girl
everything. all the fun gets ruined,
sometimes harrasment,sometimes lame flirting,
sometimes some guy might start giving free stuff to her
or offer extra help just cause he knows shes a girl
or she might not want to hunt something cause its "too cute"
Give me a break
Guys and Girls are different
and most girls should just play their own games

In my experience, if I find out I am playing with a female
*AND I choose to believe it
I can easily become sexually aroused.
But hey, ask yourself why you even have to care? It is a matter of empirical uncertainty. The internet attracts a lot of sick people and the person proclaiming estrogen is most likely male anyway.
Aside from that...bro, really, most people stop worrying about playing with girls after age five, just ride the wave on this one.

What an appropriate handle for someone who hasn't got a clue.
First of all it's "women" not "Girls" typically who play MMO's (used to be because their husband or live-in boyfriend got them hooked on it actually but today a lot of them just enjoy the genre... a LOT of women play Star Wars Galaxies by the way).
And it's not the "Girls" who typically cause the problems in the MMO. It's the lame dorks like yourself who never crawl out of the cave you game in to go see the real world who wind up frothing at the mouth anytime you see a sexy toon who you THINK might be driven by a real, honest to god, female.
Kiddies (and even some sick adults) like yourself then come crawling out of the woodwork and give aforementioned female player such a hard time that they either log off in disgust or petition your sorry but for harassment.
How do I know this? Because, my friend, I was the Senior Guide on an EQ server for over a year. In my entire time there not ONCE did a female player cause a disturbance it was ALWAYS some guy who thought he was gods gift to digital sex giving the poor girl a hard time.
Also, most women don't go around asking for gifts or items. Sorry, you seem to have been HAD, that's usually a guy behind a female toon PRETENDING to be a girl so your sorry rear will fall in lust and give his sexy female toon the shirt off your back.

everyone in the team is calling her bunny or kitten or sexy from now on and talking about lame real life stuff or offering gifts

The fact of the matter is that even if they are women, they are probably married with two kids or something.

I'm a woman of thirty plus years, and I've been playing these games since they first came out. I don't think your issue is with female gamers in general, it's with a particular breed. Just as there are women who will flirt with you in a bar for a free drink, there are women/girls in games who will use their gender to their advantage. While this happens, it's actually been my experience that the majority of flirtatious female characters "looking for stuff," are actually male players using their perception of what women are to achieve financial gain for themselves.
Anyway, there are plenty of us who are strong and capable individuals, women who want to play the game. We don't want to be the helpless princess in the tower waiting for that knight in shining armor, we want to be the armored amazon who saves that knight's cowardly butt from the ugly dragon. And as far as flirting goes, most of us learn fourty-seven ways to turn down an implied invitation by the time we're sixteen. Anyone who's having trouble getting their disinterest across to an "admirer," is almost assuredly a male player.
And female gamers who won't kill something because it's too cute? What game are you playing? These sound like girls who were convinced to try the game by their boyfriends, not female gamers. There's a difference. Women who go out and buy a copy of a game (or download it over their broadband connection) are not wallflowers who are going to weep themselves to sleep for stepping on a digital flower.
Your big point was that men and women are different. Well, that's true, but that doesn't mean they can't share common interests. Besides, women and women are different as well. Just because a young woman from the conservative christian coalition would feel more comfortable playing the Sims doesn't mean we all would. Have you seen Courtney Love? Have you listened to Sleater-Kinney? Some of us have tattoos and pierced eyebrows, some of us own guns, some of us know how much RAM is in our computer, and some of us look just like secretaries during the week so that we can swing swords and cast spells at ogres during our time off. There's a particular type of female gamer you don't like, and that's fine. There's a particular type of gamer I don't like either- hackers/macroers. Thing is, they're always going to be there even if it's against the rules. If some company outlaws female players, you better believe I'll be using my husband's credit card to sign up for my account.

Sadly, I kind of agree. That situation has happened to me, and, truthfully, I have found myself acting the same way as "Person B."Don't blame me, blame the testosterone.
On the issue or alienating women from top notch games, I disagree. First of all, it won't happen. Remember that little event called the Women's Rights Movent. I can garantee you would see swarms of women, both those who game and those who don't know what a computer is attack the company with more fury than a hurricane.
Second of all, you will probably just have some sick men dressed as men instead of hot women. Which would you prefer?

Supernerd you do realize that if a guy acts special to a "girl" (who knows if its really a girl playing) in game, then that guy has problems. Giving her special things and trying to start something with her just shows they need to get out more.

See, if everyone would just learn to control their women none of this would be a problem. Women shouldn't be playing video games. They should be washing dishes and sweeping the floor and taking care of babies.
If you let your woman mess around with your computer then it's you who is at fault. And next thing you know she'll stumble onto some womens rights website and start spewing crap about her inner goddess. And before you realize what's happening she'll want to TALK about her FEELINGS and discuss the nature of your RELATIONSHIP. God help you.

In Guild Wars I was once wandering around in Grendich Courthouse(actually helping a friend) when this female Necro comes over to me and starts dancing. Okay, I started dancing too. So by a minute or 2, she asked if a strong elmo like me could help a tiny necro like her. I asked asl, she said: 17/f(yes plz
)/Sweden, and asked me the same question. Now here's the trick, reply with following : Stopped counting after 50/My belly is so fat that I'm actually not sure.../under my desk in my mothers house
Okay, I actually said that, but that's not the trick. I afterwards replied with my real info. She asked help for help in a mission, and of course, me being the big villiant knight would help a poor girl like her. Now almost at the end, you leave. No words said. Don't reply to her bull pms. Just ignore the girl. Do it everytime somebody asks like that.
But if you ask nicely without all the bull, I'll help.
The problem is not the women here. It's the men. If they'd stop thinking : Maybe if I help her execissively, she might meet me, and...... you get the picture. If they'd stop thinking idiotically like that, then the women wouldn't ask because it simply wouldn't work. Men wouldn't stop acting like women (because they don't get anything good from it.
