SKYRIM lol!  But that isn't a MMO

ArcheAge is pretty nice but I don't think I can see that yet, I will try Skyrim and Rift, but I need the BEST looking.

Which is the best looking MMO right now? Can even be videos of MMO to come.

    Thanks!

Current?  AoC, FFXIV and Aion.  Of course if we talk about max detail settings and we don't talk into account personal preferences about style, etc - just graphics quality.

    Upcoming?

Best graphic in technological sense, how engine is advanced and also quite nice artwork etc - imho ArcheAge.

GW2 will look nice as well, cause of very nice work of artist, though engine is lacking sometimes.

I actually thought this as well roflmao!  Love my level 39 Archer!!!!!!! I got fully enchanted dragonscale and daedric bow (working on enchanting it) :D  So epic :)

I just wish we could craft our own arrows!!!! and enchant them!!!! maybe they'll patch it in :)

I literally kills just about anything except bosses and dragons in 1 hit :)  From far enough away, other mobs don't even know where i'm shooting from, they'll walk over to the body like "WTF" and I kill them too roflmao roflmao!!!!

(sorry, I just had a bowl of cocao puffs, and hyped up on sugar!!!)

Thanks guys, I noted some games down to try on a list, some single player games too as some suggested.

I might wait with the graphics cards because some new ones are supposed to come out, so will be another few weeks of delay on my PC, yet again, I really hope nothing new comes out in the next 2 months lol.

Though I've never actually gotten far in it, I've always felt EVE has visuals that take me away.

If you can run Vanguard or Age of Conan maxed out you have a pretty decent machine. Vanguard is actually easier to max out than AoC I think.. And then thier's Skyrim which should hold some eye candy indeed!

My favorite is Vanguard, even though it doesn't technically have the 'best' graphics.  The different landscape/cities, and how far you can see, it is the only game where I have actually just gone places to look and admire the scenery.  The graphics have even been toned down (due to performance issues, long ago).  You can see a great distance with everything turned up.

Rift had some nice graphics, but everything is dark/dim in the game for the most part, so it kind of takes away from it, but that has to do with their theme.

On the singleplayer side try Skyrim and Battlefield 3, preferably skyrim as it does stress the system quite a bit when maxed out and I myself have dropped to 35fps.

35FPS? My god man i am happy to get 20 out of pretty much any game I play on this crappy rig! lol..

I just keep cranking shit up and tweaking settings till im down around 20ish.

    I love my eye candy!

    What can I say?

Out of all of the mmos I've played, Age of Conan still looks the best.

If you got the juice for it, then I would say either AoC or Rift.

Rift has by far the best graphics from  a technical perpsptective, no midrange system can hit 60 FPS while maxing out the settings for it. It actually even has better graphics than some big name single player RPGs today, like Dragon Age 2 and Skyrim.

Guild Wars 2 and Swtor graphics are a little dated and wont surpass it, although the art in GW2 looks quite amazing. Tera is getting updated graphics for the US release and is likely to become the best looking.

That's poor coding more than good graphics.

I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

I would say Age of Conan and FFXIV.

AoC was a king in visuals for a long time, but now is dethroned by TERA. I think Archeage will be the next graphics king

I think its really a tie between FFXIV and Aion. FFXIV has stunning character detail that belongs in a single player game, but the world is so drab it makes EQ sparkle! Aion (with the updated cryengine) is something special graphically and asuming you don't mind some eastern art its the best atm.

AoC comes a close third, pretty impressive for what is now an aging game.

I am shocked and appalled that people are suggesting Rift, I have played it (FFXIV and Aion as well ofc) and it is no where in the same league. It is completely medicore, nothing special at all.

Continen of the Ninth, it was only out in Korea for the last 3 years, but it's coming to the US in january.

I'm not into the cartoony thing.

I would say Darkfall, or vanguard cranked up with forced aa look amazing

Im equally shocked someone thinks Aion has better graphics then TERA or AoC

AoC has nice graphics. Rift has very cool dynamic light effects but it's propably on par with AoC imo. FF XIV is incredible. Very high quality textures and polygon count but the environment look boring. No life to it. Skyrim has worse textures than FF XIV (with mods it will be fixed soon) yet it looks much better imo b/c of all the deatails in the world. Still FF XIV is the best right now, Tera might be on par and GW2 will be number 1 just b/c of awesome art direction =P

The best graphics MMOs are AoC and FF 14.

Skyrim and Rift are both dated graphics, do not bother.

Aion is one of my favorites with the CryEngine.  When I first steped into Aion i was pritty blown away by the enviremet effects like rain, night day cycles etc...
