Does it really matter if it's a guy or girl playing the game? As long as they don't get me killed I could give a shit.
I actually got my girlfriend to play Eq2 with me. I thought there was no way she'd like it but now she's hooked. Seriously, it's fantastic not getting dirty looks for playing all the time because she's playing too.
real females do not 99,9% of times act all "flirtish" and stuff...ive met alot of RL females that actually plays male characters to get away from all those super-horny pre-teen hormone monsters.
I'm 20, a "girl", and i can handle situations in guilds you mentioned.
Never experienced a problem with that and if someone is a woman, players quickly realize that fact.
Agh... Supernerd there are SO MANY things I sorely want to inform you on but restraint show's maturity which is something I think you are in dire need of. Actually dire is an understatment, I just can't think of a more pressing term right now.
But here's what I suggest, find out if there's any lan parties in your area, even if your not into them go and the first group of female gamers you see (and they will be there, we actually do exist) and tell exactly what you just said. If you can come up with the gaul to actually do that, instead of just spouting useless sexist nonesense on a forum, then I think you'll come out of it with a greater understanding of the gaming female and maybe a measure of respect, which you need to gain as soon as possible.
Oh, and one last thing, these are not YOUR games, no more then they are mine. If you manage to make it out of puberty someday and possibly open yourself up to a bigger world, hopefully you will learn that there are all sorts of wondful people out there, many of which happen to be female and there gender does not make them any less of ANYTHING, that includes being a gamer.

I played with lots of Woman and I can honestly say some are more skilled then alot of us Men in different aspects.
Dont bash Female Gamers because they are females. I myself like their company and treat them as equals in an MMO. Specially in a PvP enviroment....They can gank me as well as I can them. hehe
They are skilled just as we are.
You have personnal issues and YOU need to deal with them, dont bring them here to these boards in hopes that someone will give you free Cheese with your Whining.

Come on Supernerd, first you post "People over 18 shouldnt play games" and now "Girls should play their own games"? I know you are just a child, but grow up, really. Atleast think about a post before you make it, because your posts are so stupid its not even funny.
Frankly, you have no real reasoning for this post, as the "oooh, its a girl thing" only happens with children that are EXACTLY like you, so why dont you look in the mirror, and see exactly who the one thats being childish, and taking all the fun out of the game is.

My wife is 26 and can handle it just fine as well. I beleive she is actually going to take a guild officer position in GW. She can handle her own and is actually higher level than me. Although GW is an easy game, she has also played AC, EQ2, and SWG.
It was hilarious though the first time she went on teamspeak because their were several female characters, but most played by guys. When she spoke on chat in TS, all the guys were like "OMG! It's a real girl!"

That must have been in GuildWars because in SWG it's been my experience that a good number of the female characters are actually female in RL. In our guild we have something like 20 female toons.... 15 of them are women in RL (I know because we use TeamSpeak)... one of them is even a model by profession. Suffice to say when I hear a girls voice in Teamspeak in SWG it doesn't shock me at all.
Now... in PlanetSide TS channels it surprises the heck out of me on the rare occasion I hear a girl's voice on the line. Because 99% of that population seems to be guys.

Although I usually play female characters, I almost never mention that I am really female. It either doesn't come up, or it comes up in the context of my husband introducing me as his RL wife, and that is usually the end of it.
The only time I can think of that I told someone I was female IRL was in an incredibly stupid conversation I recently had in SWG that went like this:
Idiot: lets duel
Me: Why?
Idiot: for fun
(At this point I return to killing things for the mission I am on)
Idiot: panzy
Me: Yep, that's me. I'm a panzy.
Idiot: ur gay
Me: I am female. You can't insult my manhood by calling me a panzy or calling me gay.
Idiot: stop with ur queer comebacks
(Much giggling and eyerolling IRL here, followed by ignoring the idiot.)
But I clearly didn't bring it up to get anything. I would guess that a very large proportion of "girls" who flirt, act silly, and want special treatment are, in fact, male.

) i can say there should be a topic called: 
cuz i think HE can't stand normal conversation in the game... his problem ain't women but chatting during the game... as he said when it's down time the party starts conversation and they find out one member is a female in RL (don't have to be the truth
) and they talk about stuff... i think he just can't stand society... most of the ppl who r playin online games NEED to spend some time on conversations... otherwise they'd get bored after a certain time period (just like me... i really need somebody to talk to 
well for me it's kinda way how to improve my english but it's not a problem here right now) when a party finds out there's a girl playin well that's just rare or just fresh topic to discuss and there's nothing wrong with it...

i got to female chars choosing by theirs stats at the beginning... now it's kinda habbit but i like it this way
and due to my chars' looks i found out on my own that the real evil r those horny boys
for example im playin Knight Online and there r many turks playin it... i recieve about 20 PMs/day all the same:

and i can say they r really kind and helpfull... they've never begged for some stuff (well im in a kind clan itself so the stuff will come either way
i also have to say that they chose men as their avatars (especially strong barbarians with death in eyes)to get rid of those 'horny boys' and embarassing situations round it... but some of em chose females due to their stats
Supernerd...get a clue, dude. How can you honestly blame a woman for being a woman? How is it our fault that a vast majority of male gamers respond to our presence in a game in the ways you described?
To say that the woman in your example "ruined" anything is ridiculous. Obviously it was the other guys in your group paying special attention to her that prompted your post, right? You can't seriously believe that there's anything we can do as women to control the flow of testosterone through a male's brain. A man will react to a woman differently than they react to other men. Why? Because that's just how the world works, my friend.
Whoever said that women make up 25% of the gaming community was waaaaay off. Women make up roughly 45% of all PC gamers and 35% of all console gamers. That's a lot, and I guarantee you that 50% of the women you meet in a game are not men posing as women (though I won't say it doesn't happen... we've all met those creeps. Funny though, they seem to be the exact same ones who flame women on the message boards
) And how is a woman asking for help from a man using her gender to take advantage of him? What about a man asking for help from another man? Or a man asking for help from a woman? Just because men use their penises to think 99.9% of the time doesn't mean we're neccessarily concerned about the penis factor. We'd be just as likely, if not MORE, to ask for help from another female and avoid any testosterone overflows altogether.
I'd suggest to Supernerd or any other socially handicapped penis-toters who aren't willing to co-exist with women in the game world...get over it...

I totally disagree. community is one of the best aspects of any game, and if it's all guys, well, most of us guys go out of control without women to keep us in check. and as punk said. why would you actually want a sausage fest?

This is the most pitiful sexist post I have ever seen, as a pvp gamer people like supernerd and all that were pro his statement will be killed without question if I ever see them in a game.
Although the sexually aroused statement was funny, its the creators fault. They are the ones that make leather armor look like blue jeans and a coat on guys but a bathing suit on girls.
PLUS Some guys will tell you they are guys playing girl characters and do you know what the resounding response is?

You sound just like my girlfriend and they do make specifically girl MMOs its called all those random sims games like Sims Online i personally find it stupid but my girlfriend can play it for hours so before you start asking for a girl game
tell us what kind of game you like since no game is specific for a gender well nvm there are a few guy games (haha) but still dont just ask for a girl game i mean there are some but not specifically any Girl MMo;s

Yah, and by the way, the ones that have "pink armor" are probably guys. To top it off, the "realy girls" tend to be married with kids.
