From the recent news it looks like current players will get buddy keys. I would like to try the game out again and see the improvements. If one of you current subbers gets an extra buddy key, I would appreciate it if you would PM me.
Anyone else want a buddy key, jump on in and ask.

Be warned though, its a VERY rough game in terms of stability, synching, and well lack of other players. Not sure but during my trial i wasnt even able to chat to the 2 people i saw in the week i played.

UPDATE:
Dear Earthrise Players,
Due to restructuring of our activities and change of the server location, the Earthrise servers will be going offline for 1 week between 8th of December and 16th of December. During that time you will not be able to login and play the game. All accounts will be compensated with added value to their free to play status when the game goes free to play in 2012.

Game is going free though, confirmed on their forums, no need for buddy keys.
Socond update: Just noticed the dates they supplied and todays date, being the servers are down still. This one might be gone.....

looking over their foum...for a game that was suppose to be down for 1 week starting dec8 and up no later than dec 16th...theres like no posts after dec 14th.
Its kind of looks like the game had a soft shutdown, and the few people left either are not complainign the games gon, posting with questions as to why the servers are not up yet, or are simply not allowed to post.
Very strange. I think at this point however, people just dont care if the game shuts down.
If anyone has any info as to whats going on feel free to inform, however i dont think anyone is following this game anymore on this forums, or even the games own forum anymore.
Realize few if any care at this point, but ill update again for those who brows this game and may consider downloading ect.
Game is still down, only now its apparent that instead of being down for a week to move hardware ect it will now be down indefinately untill its in a more playable state. This is off a very short and stern post froma forum admin, no word from developers on whats going on and any ETA.
It really looks like this one isnt comming back. If it does, doesnt look like it will be back for a very long time.

If anyone still has any trial keys i would love to give this game a shot. Really looking to find that one sandbox game to keep me occupied. Would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any extras. Thanks!
