I was disappointed to not that even have WASD movement with the new addition.The west's gaming style has not been accomodated by this modest feature.I have tried to get past this...reached level 10...and won't endure further frustration.FYI

The very topic is wrong. There is indeed directional movement by ARROW keys, you know? Been like that in Lineage 2 since the beginning - Both clicking and arrows keys. Strafing however is not possible at all, if I remember right that is.
We?re all dead, just say it.
Go to options then to shortcuts and enable "enter chat" that will give you WASD movement. Although it isn't that great.
Click to move enables more control during pvp. :>

I am a long time WASD mover, ever since EQ. I never thought I would be ableto play a MMO with click to move...
But then it truck me, a ton of games I have loved are click to move (Balders Gate, Diablo etc). Whats so different about a MMO?
So I embraced it, spent a little time getting used to it.
Now I am loving it.
How odd. I used WASD when I used to play up until a couple of years ago

same here, trial etc as well played it all with wasd movement and click if needs be. Its all in the options..
No idea what all this "game doesnt have wasd" shit is about to be honest.
Well if you click enter chat u get some kind of wasd but its useless so better get used to point to click if you wish to play l2. Honestly
implying I cheat doesn't make it true.
I prefer to play L2 with WASD mainly because for example I can use M instead of combination keys. Being used to WASD helps too.
Turning on Enter Chat lets you use WASD fyi

A little tip on Point and Click movement if you have a G15 type keyboard or something similar that will spam mouse clicks.
1) Go to your ingame settings SYSTEM/AUDIO and check "Disable Camera Reset (RMB)"
2) Set one of your G keys to spam the left mouse button every 250ms.
It'll take you a couple minutes to get used to it, but after you'll love movement in L2.
You were the one implying i was cheating, and i already said earlier that you need enter chat for WASD. Are you brain damaged or just trolling?
You know, insted of starting a post with a incorrect sentence you could just ask "Is there WASD movement in L2?" or even better, search this forum because theres a few topics about it.
Wasn't humanity's superior trait the ability to adapt faster than other species?...
So what if it's different than what you're used to? Relearn, adapt, profit.
Hmmm, the movement seems a little awkward from listening people. I might give it a go, but first I have to know.... can you jump?

Im really happy to see they didnt add something that stupid to a game that doesnt have any need of it.
I like that feature in games, L2 dont have it and is not a game breaker for me.
Im far for be a expert about programming and landscape builder but i bealive to add jump feature in L2 alot of things had to be changed so the jump have some meanning.
Allready play some games where you can jump but you cant jump over a lower box for example, you hit in some invisible wall
At least you can "fall" from a hill, a little better then for example GW imo.
I won't lie toyou... it I awkard when you first start. Within 10 mins it's ok though. A little longer and it's enjoyable.
You just haveto approach the game with an open mind and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Once you go Click To Move you'll never want to use WASD ever again, Lineage 2 taught me that many a moon ago.

I am struggling with it, and I really have a hard time seeing how this can be good in a pvp setting. I'm not saying it can't be, I'm just saying i'm struggling with it, and I think alot of that has to do with the sheer number of other players running around and accidentally clicking on them sometimes instead of the ground.
I might have to give it a go despite the jump. I know I had a real hard time in GW because of that. Its not that its mandatory thing, but I've gotten used to running and jumping for no apparent reason. Its kind of insane, but I move around and I feel the urge to press the spacebar.

You just have to get used to it and the controls will go very smooth, I dont even notice it anymore when I turn my camera..
Yea watching wow pvp just feels like a ton of useless stuff, jumping spinning and w/e they're doing... In L2 you dont want to move because you lose time you could do damage, better move if you need to for example if you need to get out of combat or need to backstab etc.
i played this game for 4 hrs last night and for a game i was excited about playing years before...i was horribly dissapointed. click movement is not ment for mmos...and on top of that the game was laggy, choppy and low quallity. THEN to add insult to injury i could not find ONE person on the server that spoke english...
This game looks freaking sweet in the videos but i one of the worst games created in my books. Its biggest downfall is mouse movment....i cant even count how many times i was running into things and getting stuck in place and dont even let me get started with combat....
