Please tell me, is this a joke or are those guy real with the stuff they wrote? To me that looks like a huge troll post, but the site looks legit.... Well as legit as some religious website can be.

After playing Skyrim for like 150 hrs, I'm bit amazed with the whole damn article. :D

Christwire is a notorious website parodying the convservative christian agenda. You know the satire is well done when you only get that hint of something awry instead of an overt joke. Hope that restored some of your faith in humanity...not that any would be justified.

Clearly the author has too much time on his hands, I am not a big fan of Skyrim or Bethesda, but everything in the article is just flat out a lie against the game. First of all there is no Stormwind in Skyrim, second Skyrim is in no shape or form an MMORPG nor a FPS, and it is not from Blizzard Entertainment. Those facts along should tell you that this whole article is a complete joke and clearly the author has never played the game himself.

Ok, it looks like I've stumbled into a trap too. At first I was thinking "Oh not this sh*t again!" after seeing some weird guy bashing games on media. Just like every article from GTA is: "GTA turns your children into killers" etc. But it looks like the author is just a professional troll! :D

Or rather, clearly made a joke article that some people dont seem to get.

Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling"
Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.

In the land of Skyrim, the player starts off as a captured terrorist, who has been caught plotting to destroy the golden empire by using dragons.

Greatest line I have ever read written about Skyrim.

IT'S A JOKE ARTICLE!! READ OTHER POSTS !

    HELLO?

    ..Cake..

  • it's not badly done but, the sad thing is having to go so far out there to try and make it obvious satire and still failing at it and having some people believe it's an actual christian writing and actual article about actual opinions... kinda shows something about humanity, or religion... or something i forgot my point,  now back to nursing my inner ear infection, did need the laugh wonderful find

Your first clue should have been the word "Christ" in the website address...

It's rather funny people believe this to be true, really says something about humanity. Not poking fun at you OP, you atleast got the hint but some of the comments on that article are just plain...stupid.

Lol sorry not promoting the site. Didn't even know about the site until today. But yeah, it was clearly just a joke so nothing more of it. The author of the article sure did know a lot about the "field" he was talking about... :D

I read the article. It was hilarious and i wanted to jump with joy but then i took and arrow to the knee.

How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?

ShredderSE - Umm how many do they need? Maybe 6.
US, EU, Asian, France, German and Russian.
Subs will be so low there is no need for more
    Snoocky-How many servers?
The first 3 months a lot...after that 2 i guess, one for PVE and 1 for PVP...

Thorbrand - SWTOR doesn't have longevity at all. Might be one of the shortest lived MMOs.

I once was going to read the article like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

"If you are a responsible parent, then the world of MMORPG first person shooters should be something of a foreign language to you. In games like Skyrim..."

That was actually a very entertaining peice of trolling.  I actually got a few laughs out of it, good find.

  • tarviktarvik Member UncommonPosts: 84

    Lmao.

I dont know who to laugh at more,  the dude that wrote this or the people that are taking it seriously

I think my favorite part is the last 2 paragraphs. That's kind of the point where he's obviously tired of the satire himself and is letting everyone in on the joke:

BUT we live in a world where a headline and first three sentences is all most people will read.

    Still, bravo.

I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

This is an excellent example of Poe's Law:

Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of fundamentalism that someone won't mistake for the real thing.

Exactly, further proof there needs to be a punctuation mark based on sarcasm.

It already exists but no-one uses it, just like the poor ol' interrobang.
