Nope forums will be open to subscribers only. No none sub forums. u can view and read forums if u want u just cant post unless u are subbed to game.
I think it helps to keep the trolls away. Not all of them but it gets rid of the gw 2 is better crowd. Or the why play tor wow is better crowd.
With all the hate and love of tor its really a smart move to keep the haters as far from tor forums as possible and keep only paying customers allowed to post
That said for the the tor is worst game people really no way. Gw 2 fans are 100 times worse. U think this game is reinjventing the entire mmo wheel and they are just using a bunch of concepts others have done before.

i already knocked every types of wood material in my room or anything made of wood , but what if ...... what if the server crashes after the early release and we have to play in a laggy server that disconnect every 2 minutes?
And to even make it worse u have to redownload the patch coz of certain 'corrupted' file ..?

I bought my copy in the first 10 minutes it was available on Origin but didn't register until Aug 1st...
I was kind of shocked that the forums will be closed until launch. When they said they were updating the forums, I had no idea they meant a lockdown of those proportions. It's like the community has suddenly been cast into a darkness it hasn't known for over 3 years.
And when the forums come back, you will need a subscription to post ... which suits me fine.
Oh they're pulling off that old malarkey are they? I hope they at least have the decency to leave one forum open for non-subscribers. You might ask why, but I say it opens debate, and why should subcribers be the only ones to have a say? Yes they give money to Bioware but every one has the option to do so and so should be entitled to a say in discussions that may even entice them to give money.
Because subscribers are the ones who are paying the money? And, the real question is, why would someone who isn't a subscriber to the game feel the need to post on the game forums anyway? If the game doesn't interest you, or you think the game sucks, why ever go to the forums? I think we know the answer to that question, don't we?
You can still read the forums, you just can't post without a sub. So if you are on the fence about subscribing, you get all the info you need by reading.
There's always a case that you're not a subscriber for reasons other than not liking the game. Perhaps money is tight for a month but you want to keep up with the community. I'm not suggesting all forums should be open to anyone, just one.
It's not always for trolling that someone not playing a game might go to the forums. They might be after an insight in to the game or maybe they just want to discuss the game. I think it's rather short-sighted of you to assume anyone who isn't playing a game isn't in to that game and therefore will not want to visit a forum for it or will only do so to troll. I presume that is your thought.
You can't always get every bit of info you need from reading. Not everybody posts common sense.
I do understand some of your sentiment and reasoning, but to dismiss everyone from a game's forums unless they subscribe is a little rash in my opinion.

I registered my pre-order code on August 1st... how big are my chances of playing on the 13th?
Aug 1st low, i was Aug 15th and am not expecting to get in till 15th/17th depending on their allocation schedule.
I am expecting everyone to be in by friday, thats the 16th, so they can check stabillity over the weekend without to much work
