Many people ready to bring this game down but I dont care. I have been playing it for months and I just love it. Awesome graphics, sounds effects and game play.
I like it it gives me exactly what i want and fast i used to play Ao and eq and swg and they were nice but everything always took forever for me in wow i notice i play faster and if everything is faster you can do more.
It lacks end-game content and getting to the highest level is no great feat at all. My friend, on Spire Stone, where I am, has a collection of 60s. One of each class and he gives away gold to newbies daily because there's nothing left to do. This just shows that no matter what class or race you are in the game, the end is unfathomably boring.
If you're just starting the game, however, and have no idea what's in store for you, you might get some fun out of it for a few months. Note this though: only the groups and PvP are fun, if you dont find any friends and dont plan to or find no enjoyment / satisfaction in PvPing... then dont waste your money....
If you think about it though, this is all that's worth playing out there, so what other game would the money be spent on?
I played it for 3 months amd have to say that it was the best mmorpg I ever played. Well worth the money. But like said before theres not much to do after you get to 60. Out of all the games I've played this one is the easiest to lvl a character in. But I have to admit that the 3 months I played it I had the time of my life. This game rocks! It just doesnt have the staying power though. After 3 or 4 months you'll start looking elsewhere.
I'm just coming to the end of my free trial, and here's my ratings.
Graphics: 9. I haven't given it a 10, because I found the spell effects quite disappointing. A lot of different spells share the same graphic. But good overall.
Sound: 8. Same reason really. A lot of different creatures/attacks share the same sound.
Gameplay:7 It's fun. Just not *really* fun, like I found Guild Wars to be. But the quest system is top notch, albeit a tad repetitive. The crafting system is good, but not the best. I found UO to have the best crafting system.
Community: 3 This is where the game really fails. Not due to any game mechanics. I just find the community to be very poor. It's not even a community really. People barely interact with eachother. It's hard to get a group, or help for a quest. I'm yet to see anybody selling anything. And I've been in about 4 guilds now. None of them have been anything more than a bunch of names on a list. Not impressed with the community.
Overall: 7. I think WoW is a fun game, and I will probably play it for a while, until I get bored, or a better game comes along. But it is also massivley over-hyped, and certainly not the best out there. It's just the most polished.
I am on Thunderhorn server by the way, so if anyone is on this server and knows of a good guild who actually does stuff together, then give me a shout. Or, if there is any way to change server that would be nice. I like the sound of Argent Dawn as it has a high population and a mature community.

Yes the game is fast paced.. everything is a lot faster.. and then when you hit 60, the game gets boring real fast. Its not like its fun doing the same instance 50 times over. The PvP is pointless in the game... you'd think that a developer that made the Warcraft and Starcraft series, would make an MMO where you could take structures over, hold lands loot peoples corpses... something with at least a tiny bit of depth, at least on a PVP server.. nope same old crap. They decided that deathmatch/team deathmach is some sort of a PvP experience. Perhaps for 12yo kids, which seem to be the majority of the server. You can't even have a duel without some little kid whining at you, or throwing out abuse.
There is hardly any decent mmo's at the moment, which is really sad. It's hard to make a decent game, when investors know and enjoy the tried way of sucking on peoples wallets. The game is a waste of life, the fun dies quickly and it eventually becomes a chore. In my opinion, I wish I never played the game... I want my time back...
For me, WoW gets a 6/10! It's a passing score (In school, 60% is a passing mark)... but read my signture!!!
I personally rate every other single MMORPG out there 5/10 and under. WoW is still not the great MMORPG I was hoping for, but it's still better than everything else.

Could not have said it better. The rating is on the mark.It is amazing how you get to 60 and the game goes downhill so fast
Like Dark says. It is a blast for 3 or so months. One of the funnest. But what got me is the so called honor system and bg. Awesome concepts but, seem to fail. Honor system a race againest each other for rank. Not to bad but I was looking for a casual game like the said during there marketing. It is good but needs some work. The only thing about wow that is casual is xp. Since my work demend is little intense I was looking for more casual. The bg is fun but not worth waiting for hours in a que to enter. Hence I moved back to daoc. Waiting for the casual servers to open up. In the end one of the greatest game but lacks staying power. After I hit 60, ran few instances there wasnt much left to do. I was horde so defending raids is more like it. Even tried to lvl an alt. Dont even think about it on pvp servers. With the huge waiting times in bg and the tournament of getting cp points for rank. The xp grounds became farm points for higher lvls. Before the so called honor system. Getting ganked few times was expected. Not get killed non stop. That is even trying to find the camp sites not to known.
When I started it I thought it was the greatest game ever. Once you hit 60, go to the high lvl dungeons and get your gear, well thats it. There is nothing left to do. Tradeskills are a joke and pvp is just people farming BG's. I'm gonna try buying SWG again, its been a while and I want to see the new content. Again great game and I really enjoyed it but runs out of steam fast at lvl 60.
Sometime for me it can be right up there with the best of games but others I can get VERY tired of it.
Like not wanting to do an instance but bg queue is taking ages, I have nothing else to do except grind for drops (boring) or go mining (hardly exciting).
I think if I had to give it a static rating i'd say about 7/10 better than average but not great
i couldnt even play the thing because of random game crashing every 10 minutes or so and i have reactivated account 3 times so far and same thing there servers suck! Even bought a brand new computer the last time and it crashed every 10 minutes or so as well .
Like others mentioned before, it was a blast the first 2 month, I really loved it. But I found myself getting bored of the endless grind after those 2 month cause there was nothing you could really do else.

I'd give it a 7 outta 10. Im coming off of SWG whuch for me was a 10 outta 10 along time ago in a galaxy far far away...lol
What I feel is missing is real community. This is due to the lack of player based cities and the extremes of the demograghics.
The other item lacking for me is the player crafting economy. Everyone can craft the same items at whatever level thier at, and all crafted items use the same ingrediants available to anyone. Then you at the mercy of the AH to move these items....so you craft an item, look at the current buyout pricing at the AH and go a couple copper cheaper...and then hope that 10 others dont come behind you and do the same. I enjoy the crafting involved in mmo's but there isnt any real incentive to do so other than to break up the level grind. There isnt any incentive to build quality items either. Everyone at the same level can build the same quality.
About an 8 out of 10. It's not perfect in terms of an MMORPG because there is a lack of direct interaction between player and the gaming world itself. However, it is better than pretty much everything else out there.

an above average game, my official rating Pretty Good
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

Demoku: Anarchy Online (Rimor)
I love WoW, I used to play EQ, but when WoW came out, i switched over and never looked back.
I have 9 toons on stonmaul and several on other servers,,,ALL HAIL SILVANIS

Only played for a month, but though it was an awesome game.

..
Decent, very well made MMO, though from my point of view gets boring quickly. Corrects and adds alot what others miss.
But I'm way too casual player for WoW, unfortunatelly.
Was tons of fun for a while. Played since open beta, but it's gotten kind of boring. Two 60s and nothing to do anymore.
Like someone else said, it's great for starters. But once you hit 60 once or even twice, you're pretty much done.

if you would have asked this 3 months ago i would have said 9/10
now after having played it for a 2 months and quitting ill give it a 6/10
good for awhile but gets old and theres just not much to do..after you get over the prettiness of the game..its all down hill from there..

Awesome out of the gate but it loses steam pretty quickly MMO wise.
played for about 3 months....i couldn't bring myself to play past 50...

I give WoW a 7/10....but my rating is a bit skewed as it's the very first MMORPG I've played.
