Plus he is already in SWG as a character, so it would be easy to progess his storyline abit at a time.

Errr, you played KotOR and your asking about SWG's graphics??? *chuckles* SWG makes KoTOR's graphics look silly.
Yeah i had a doubletake when i read that to, the graphics for SWG are compareble to some of the new PC titles and way ahead of any of the console titles, even in the lowst setings it loked beter than KOTR lol
Originally posted by Kem0sabe Then again, Kotor makes SWG look silly in terms of story, quests and fleshed out game universe, i still consider the kotor games the pinacle of starwars based games.
That's got to be the most rediculous statement I've ever read. Kotor has like.... oh.... 1/100th the number of quests that SWG has, if that many. Fleshed out game universe? 6 planets? With um... 3-4 zones each? Um.. sure... ok...
SWG has 10 planets. 11 Space Sectors. Hundreds, if not thousands, of missions and quests to accomplish (not counting terminal missions mind you). Over 30 player owned and piloted ships. Full 3D Space Simulator spaceflight and combat. The ability to play 10 races and dozens of professions.
And Better Graphics, Gameplay and Community... oh wait..... KOTOR doesn't have Community since it's single player.
Don't get me wrong. KOTOR was a good game. I liked it a lot. But to compare KOTOR to SWG is just flat out stupid. It doesn't even come close to the scope, breadth and depth of SWG.
I am very glad that was a not a fanboy comment, or else I would have been misled.

This thread has become a pointless tirade. KoTOR has features and niches which SWG could never replicate, and vice versa. The zones, in my opinion, do not counteract the game. KoTOR still has swoop racing and pazaak, and many other quests and story archs to flesh out. Star Wars Galaxies, to be sure, has no story archs--only one mission loosely tied to the prior one.
Similarly, KoTOR does not have SWG's Jedi Powers or crafting systems; theirs is pitiful. Nor does it have its character customization. But in terms of character and story, no contest. SWG has no story; it has 'events'. Mmmmhmm. Sounds fun...
At any rate, these are two different games in two radically different genres and should not be compared.

The choice of your weapon also made a huge difference in the combat animations. --> KOTOR certainly had lots of Jedi powers. Others than in SWG, but the idea is the same. There was very little the two games had in common before that IMHO. --> Have fun, Erillion
