i might have to switch my BH to powertech then cause Merc just sucks in pvp. i thought it would be cool to be a tanky healer but if you move you cant heal (definately not yourself anyways) and if you stand there you get focused and eventually end up overheating and die. Sith inq are just astaundingly funner to play as healer with all their speed and cc not to mention instand dps.

I can't say that I feel any level of disconnect with my chara; I'm a lvl 31 BH (Powertech),

but I can see how a level of disconnect can occur. I like deep emersion when I play

MMOs, which is usually why I tend to pick MMOs over single play games.

    Anyhoo...

    {mod edit}

I know this is getting long so I'll end by saying, disconnection is easy when you have so little

choices and everything feels forced on you. Companions should have been random and

numerous. Not class limited and pre cut. I love the game don't get me wrong, but its far

from perfect. In fact there is a ton of stuff here that simply makes me scratch my head and

wonder what Bioware was thinking. SWTOR is a break from ever other game in their

library. Structurally, I mean. I hope the get it on track the right way instead of killing it

blindly. Hopefully the slicing nerf isn't a dark omen of things to come. I'm hoping for a

really bright future. Better chara creation, barber shops, item dying, better companion

modification and choices. JTL space dynamics. And a return to the real Bioware skill

progression system (the one inspired more on AD&D than WoW).

Sorry about all the text :)

Has anyone ever felt like they lost connection to their character? How do you get it back? At the moment it seems like I'm playing the character without knowing what's going on.

I hardly play my BH anymore, because I am not a huge fan of the class.  My Sith classes, however, I am loving.  You have to love the story of your class.  My advice is to try a new class.

Guys, do not post spoilers in this forum. Keep all spoiler posts in the spoiler forum.  If you must post about certain character storylines, keep things vague or describe the situation in very general terms.

I will be removing the spoilers from the thread now.
