due to the fact that. theres only 4 class's and really theres only 3 archetypes inside each of the class's
CLERIC> (tank,healing,dps)
ROGUE> (tank,healing,dps)
MAGE > (dps,healing,tanking)
WARRIOR > yup you guessed it (dps tanking healing)
by tanking and healing and dps i mean. there own versions of doing the same effect
rifts are cool but its kinda boring cause its the same effect over and over
leveling is boring. the quests and stuff are the same as any mmo
the items and customisation, micro management etc is just like wow. actually probably worse. because anytime you develop a unique combination for your playstyle. you run in to problems with the fact that. "everyone else is using the same 1 of 3 cookie cutter builds). and the gear is pretty much the same also.
I want a MMO with NO FACTIONS> like CONAN> that did it well. all on all.
'lookin @ playing DARK FAIL. even tho df2 is mentioned.
seroiusly getting bored of all mmo's atm. they are the same ideal. over and over.
was kinda interested in FALLEN EARTH. i really like soilwork and heavy metal soundtrack. i like post apocalyptic theme etc.
'but i heard it flopped and went F2P. kinda says to me. no more admins no more game content.
dig this until it dies. ... right?
probably going to look @ Secretworld when it comes out. like EIDOS' graphics they did for funcom's AOC.
however. they ruined AOC with teh expansion and the eternal grind of AA's and PVP being ruined by those with ALL and THOSE without being unable to even do anything to anyone.. even if u item mall.

I find it extremely hard to believe you even play at all with those assumptions. Rogues are support as bard, not healing. Mages do NOT have a tanking soul (DPS, Heal, Support) and Warriors definitely do not heal lol.
Disclaimer: I am looking for a MMORPG I can play asap that is operating beyond alpha or beta testing. Please dont suggest GW2 & Secret World or anything of the like that is not current.
I am currently looking for a MMORPG that catch my interest. Every MMORPG I play as of recent has given me atleast one doubt in playing it. Yes I fell victim to the hype monster a couple of times and come for help after playing SWTOR. These are mmorpg's I have tried if I am wrong in my reason for not playing them please correct me I would greatly appreciate it.
Final Fantasy XI: Few months ago really decided to give this one a go and after a month of playing everyday it became very tiring praying that when I log on there would be somebody on my friendslist or linkshell that would come group with me. Because I couldnt find anyone to group with I couldnt progress at all and this caused me to unsubscribe.
SWTOR: I love BioWare games but the recent batch rub me the wrong way. This game feels like multi-player Mass Effect had a baby with Star Wars. The last game of theirs I enjoyed was Baldur's Gate 2. The dialog was good but thats about all the game has going for it. I unsubscribed because I was incredibly bored with the bland storyline and cookie cutter combat.
EverQuest: This was my first mmorpg that I loved very much. I had such great adventures in the beginning full of danger and friends. When I hit max level I started raiding and when Gates of Discord came out and Uqua pre-nerf was insanity I quit because SoE butchered this game completely. I really love the idea of truely epic quests.
EverQuest 2: RTM Support & Cash shop made me run.
Age of Conan: Finished tutorial, got lost, found teleport guy whom said "You need expansion sorry guy." Game Over.
Eve: Played it. Got a ship. Got blown up by pirate. Rage quit. Game Over.
WoW: Panda's made me run.
Ultima Online: Havent tried sense EA got their hands on it. I dont trust EA as far as I can throw them. I liked the PvE aspect and lore but I am scared to try because EA butchers.. everything?
Guild Wars: Graphic style and combat system turn me off big time but I own all versions of it.
Anarchy Online: When you can pull about 30 mobs in a group and level 50 times in less than 1 hour it gets kinda pointless. So I quit.
MapleStory: Chibi's made me run.
DAoC: Zergs made me run.
Warhammer Online: Instanced pvp endlessly w/ scenario's suck and also world wasnt really a world. More of a chapter game.
Lineage 2: Point to click made me run.
Aion: End game = One sided fist fight PvP made me run.
Darkfall: I really liked this games graphic style and combat but I dont like the idea that I have to pretty much AFK or bot to get anywhere against veterans, game felt kinda dead.
Lord of the Rings Online: I was a fan of the books but this has zero cannon and turbine game graphics are terrible.
D&DO: Turbine graphics are terrible and its instanced city.
I know it sounds like a rant but I really would appreciate some help with this and any corrections to my opinions would be welcomed. I want a game that I can log on for 2 hours a day and have a blast doing PvP or PvE.
Question, did you actually -like- EvE except the gate-ganking?
Because if you did, you could try Perpetuum, its essentially EvE with robots, except the population is way smaller and the ganking is less frequent, or non-existent.
DCUO might also hold your attention for up to 1-2 weeks.
Honestly, it's the MMO that feels most like the original Everquest. It has a huge huge world, a rich crafting system and interesting classes. I really dislike the character models, but the game still looks pretty good for an MMO (especially one that's nearly 5 years old).
Though, there is a catch, of course. The population is really low. I haven't checked it recently, but that was how it was six months back or so. Everybody's moved on to the server named Telon now (it's a US server), so make sure you pick that one if you give the game a try.
I could not agree more,Vanguard imo is the best PVE mmo around. It has a vast amount of content and a vast open world with non instanced dungeons. It also has a great crafting system and open world housing that is one of the best system around.
Vanguard also has a Diplomacy system
The classes are right out of the EQ mold and the races are many and varied.
Now, i am sure the OP has read about the low population servers and the lack of updates.
The lack updates will not effect anyone who has not reach top level and done all the content which would take anyone 2-3 years to do so the updates excuse does not apply.
They have now put a new team on Vanguard, so many changes and updates are on their way.
The low population servers is true but Telon(us) is alive and kicking with many guilds, one being a guild called Twilight Song that has hundreds of member from low level to top level.

OP..Download the trail and be prepared to be amazed.
Be weary of Vanguard...I spent a month on it, and I won't be playing anymore. A waste of 15 dollars to find out...
160 people at max peak (well close to around there)
10-15 on the trial isle, if lucky...barely anyone chats here and usually it is someone asking a question and doesn't get a response
VG is utterly dead since TOR was released. Which is REALLY sad, because I love VG so much. Mostly cause the classes are so fun.
Unless people come back to VG from TOR in the next month, VG has the lowest population I've ever seen in its life time. It is lower than Ryzom ever was (before it went free to play).

im currently playing rift.

getting fastly sick of it.

Rift? It wasn't on the list.
It isn't that far from Wow but with more custmoization options, fewer classes and no pandas.
Worth a free trial at least.

I would recommend APB. I'm having a blast playing. Basically like GTA but it's a MMO!
