I'm going to say World of Warcraft too. I think eventually it's gonna have some GREAT end-game content. And if you're looking for short term content it's even better, WoW or GW are your best bets.
I call any MMO which can be played in short bursts an ADDMMO. This isn't a dig on ADD *or* the MMO. I am glad they exist because I work too many hours to spend a ton of time on one game. City of Heroes fits that very well, and so will Auto Assault (huge love to NC Soft for publishing these titles and Net Devil for making my next addiction) Any FPS could fit the bill.
Guild Wars is ok because you don't have a bunch of people relying on you to be there.
World of Warcraft allows you to level fast until the mid to late 20's. After that it has an average leveling curve. Later in WoW you will want to make sure you are part of a guild or regular group, especially if you are on a PvP server.
Right now I have barely active accounts on SWG, EQ, EQII, PS, WoW, CoH, AO, and a ton of the small titles.... geez.... kill me....
But City of Heroes is still on the top of my list for Best ADDMMO.
Interesting... Three NC Soft titles in that list. a trend?

for an easy to learn pretty fun game (if u play it for the first time,its boring after u have played for a month)
then i suggest KnightOnline - the malaysian version www.knight-online.com.my
its very simple design is fun at first - and the lvl grinding doesnt seem as hard as other games - and its free.
i would also suggest RiskYourLife as a fun game to play short term - with all the quests to take part in.
but i havnt played that in over a year - im a beta hopper ;0
