Bioware/EA worst company ever

MyrdynnMyrdynn Member RarePosts: 2,483

I mean seriously there is 35 pages of people who cant log in cause it says they have no current subscription

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=215631&page=34

I wish developers could get their heads out of their respective asses, I wish RIFT kept my interest, cause at least their devs know how to do things.

ps Im not trolling, I like the solo game, thats all I have played really, its just getting Conan esq the amount of issues they have and the lack of level 50 content

I don't really feel putting blame on Bioware is appropriate - we've saw their track record, and know they at least, WERE a very solid company with a great team of developers.

    EA on the other hand...

So let me see if i follow. The company puts out one game(their first MMO at that), and it doesn't do well(Or as well as people expected it to), so we damn the whole company calling them the worst company ever.

So i guess this one game invalidates all the other myriad of games they have developed and released that were insanely popular and fun?

    Seems Fair?

    Not even.

EDITED to add that this is the reason we aren't getting new 'INNOVATIVE" Games. They take a risk, it doesn't pan out, and now they are the worst company ever. i wouldn't try and make different games for you asshats either.

man, how the hell 2012 is gonna be remotely successful with this much..................impatient negativity roaming around the industry?

Even I have to laugh at that. Bioware just stunk up the place with TOR. Thank god they are still credible when it comes to single player and non mmo type games. I still love them. :)

Grim Dawn, the next great action rpg!

I agree, and to show you are really serious you should refrain from buying any Bioware titles in the future including ME3. That'll teach them

Worst company ever, no, that honor is reserved for SOE.

EA is down there at the bottom of the barrel with Cryptic. Sad part is they are dragging BW down with them. Just as they do with every company they aquire. I really believe EA pushed BW to release to early and now are letting them deal with it best they can. The game has some serious issues and BW will be the ones hurt.

Really? This game sucks and Im not having fun? Im going to unsub right now. Thanks for the tip.

Bioware was a great company. May they R.I.P. I feel they Died at DA2 and all hope is lost.

All Hail BiowarEA, a taste of things to come as the EAmpire grows more powerfull.

What risk did EA take with SWTOR exactly?

Apart from their ludicrous over investment in a very pedestrian game?

I second that. Compared to the issues I had with SOE and SWG this game is solid gold.

They took the risk of making an MMO, knowing full well their strengths were in the single player realm.

Well, to be frank, making any game is a risk, that much is true, but as far as that goes Bioware + Star Wars is probebly the safest bet out there. Or should be. It's taken something special to fumble the ball on this one.

As far as game design goes though, or the effort to make a 'different' game, I can't agree with you. I see no risk at all.

You're right-Making ANY game is a risk. ANYTIME you put money down on ANYTHING you hope/plan to succeed is a risk. So what do they do? They make a game that is VERY MUCH like games already released and succesful.

    Why?

Because that's the safest bet. Because if they do something totally their own/unique/innovative/different, and it isn't widely loved and praised, then they are called 'the worst company evar' by these dumbasses who can't see past their noses and discredit everything that company has ever done. Sure, call it the worst game the company has ever made, but throwing the whole company under the bus for it?

    No.

EDITED to add- and Vesu, if there is no risk in making a different game, why didn't they do endgame in another flavor than say, raids or gear treadmills? Because it's a risk. a risk they didn't want to take. because the WOW fanclub would hound them about how much they suck because they didnt have these things.
