Why are we all done hating on SWTOR and now we all need another game to start tearing apart after launch? It seems most are done hating Rift and have moved on to SWTOR so ya maybe its time to line another game up in the haters cross hairs.
It's just so easy though, if you hate WOW and 2 games come out pratically identical to WOW, the hate transfers nicely ( i like SWTOR at <50 though)
I'm convinced that a "golden age" of modern western RPGs started last year with Deus Ex, The Witcher 2 and Skyrim, and is going to continue right on through 2012 with the next Bioshock, Mass Effect 3, whatever Skyrim expansions we get and Kingdoms of Amalur. The next really big blockbuster title, that will probably serve as a defining moment for the rest of the year, is probably ME3 though. The expectations for the storyline and gameplay are going to be enormous.
However, any of these titles are certainly going to dwarf any of these upcoming MMOs...

Ease down, Ripley. You're just grinding metal.
Who says we're done with ripping that uninspired, unambitious title that is SWTOR?
As for the "next big game" I care little. Nothing really is on my horizon within the next 6-7 months. I have for my PC: BF3. I have Skyrim. I have Civ 4/5 and other good titles to resort to. I also have Dark Souls on my PS3. Other than Firaxis' "X-Com Enemy Unknown," which is still quite a ways off, nothing out there really catches my fancy, and MMORPGs are essentially dead to me.

We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." every video i've seen of this game (TERA) EU or Korean has been the same about the mobs, they definitely aren't dynamic. they were pretty standard mobs running up and smacking you or using ranged spells/attacks. Sure there's no targeting and that is exciting but the mobs ai could have a little work. GW2 mobs will change according to the number of players in the area doing the same things, they'll actually gain new abilities and react to the players. Now THAT's exciting!
~now where did i put my rose colored glasses at~
You seen to be a little off topic, but thats ok. we understand.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
I don't care about "big" in the sense of popular much, but one (non-MMO) thing I'm looking forward to is X-Rebirth (Elite style space sim combined with empire building).
I might get it a few months after launch though, as the X-series tends to be released in a slightly unfinished state and gets patched up afterwards. Just like a typical MMO . So it might be 2013 until X-Rebirth lands on my PC.
