I have to say that I played the game on the test servers and god its bad.. the only thing good about is the graphics and the combat holds some interest due to its non-dicey nature... but other than that, it does everything worse than other mmos. Just having to click a button to access my mouse is a big turn-off for me.
So thanks for the beta key, I know I will not touch it now

How does this work, you like the combat but hate you have to press a button which takes one second to access your mouse?
The way the combat works your mouse is the aimer so it's the only way this could possibly work...some people confuse the hell out of me.
The world outside the directed quest areas are empty, and feel unfinished, after I got my horse I explored randomly around the capital, no critter, mobs, but the occasional building, or npc, with seemingly no function.
I have speculations for this, the main cities, Kaiator, Allemantheia and Velika all share this feature, for a decent area around the city there are no enemies, this actually makes sense.
Why would monsters be right outside a main cities wall? Wouldn't it be guarded and all the monsters killed or kept at a fair distance, it only seems realistic imo.

Yeah it's not really hard to work out this is exactly how Fallen Earth did it,and it's the only way this type of game would work as u aim with the mouse one key press back to normal UI,or u can use gamepad.

the option to play it like wow (holding the right button of the mouse) would have been nice anyway

I like the combat idea but the implementation does leave a lot to be desired for. I know people are comparing it to the regular combat in mmos but I happen to enjoy it more in Rift, SWTOR or others. If I need an action game I can go to any other non-mmo action game where the combat is way better and more fluid anyways, so why is everyone going gaga over the simple mechanic TERA has? Its unreal engine 3, its pretty. But that's it. Its the mother of all grinds based on the quests I did and the impressions I read.

'Mother of all grinds'? And going to a 'non-mmo action game' doesn't make sense if people are looking for an mmo with realtime combat. Just sounds like you never really tried it properly or got good at it. Get yourself in a decent clan and dominate other players before you worry about the piss-easy levelling. Judging from your previous posts you definitely come off as one of those anti-social types that play MMOs then wonder why they get bored.

Well I personally love the setup, it's all a matter of opinion. I feel TERA has the best combat of any MMO i've played by far.
