It's confirmed. WvW in the Beta and ArenaNet staffers helping bolster the numbers.

Holy crap! How did I miss that. Guess we'll find out how to apply for the upcoming public beta real soon then. ^_^

The cheaper option is a self-induced coma, though it isn't as precise as I hope.

    Ok this is interesting.

"We’ll have some very specific information about an upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta event – I guarantee you will not want to miss it!"

Are they talking about expanding the demo for public or is this something else?

That is exactly what they are talking about. It's really nothing new, seeing how they have said that the Public Beta Events will be in March & April so many times. What caught me off guard has to be the sudden prospect of learning how to enter the beta next week.

They did say the sign up are "probably" gonna be in their main site (I believe Mike O Brien stated that in the year of the dragon blog". I do recall remembering in the GW 1 where if you pre order GW 1 (I think retail or CE) you will be accepted to the preview event demo.

Who knows but this is rallying up alot of people lol.

Very happy about the tease on the next beta event! Also, of course, looking forward to all the upcoming coverage and the post from Eric Flannum on changes since the convention demos. Great way to build fan hype and there would be no reason to tune the hype machine this way for a late 2012 release. :)

In addition to the potential to get into the next beta event, I'm also loking forward to an announcement on pre-orders. That will be an important milestone toward release.

    Me: You so silly sometimes!

Can't wait for the media! (And the Collector's Edition reveal: whenever that is)

My best friend surfs youtube and  posts this stuff on my FB page, it just so happens it was still on my mind when I read the info. Thought the reaction summed it up and wasn't making fun of the kid himself. In context it's hilariouse. Wasn't trying to offend anyone, though I know some will probably be anyways. Maybe should have added a disclaimer. Still I am pretty excited to hear what others get to experience.

Personally I'm a huge GW2 fan, but I won't play the Beta, I will buy the game anyway. I want to play it fresh the day I have a full day to watch the scenario and see the mobs how they are developed without rushing together with a buttload of people. This is a game I want to stick with for the long run and I'm gonna enjoy every minute of it

Speculation is that it's a population density map.

It'd be quite useful to have a similar map but  for when people are attacking your faction in WvW :) I know they will have basic markings on it showing 'there's a big fight here', but a heat-map esque system would be fantastic for WvW so you know exactly how big a fight is.
