You can't name a single feature of any game, running or in development, that has not been implemented in another game in some form.
But you know what? It doesn't matter.
It's like food. There is a finite amount of raw material you can throw in a stew pot, but that doesn't mean that the end result will always be the same. Far from it in fact. Give the same materials to two cooks and you'll get a diferent experience.
The exact same thing holds true in MMORPGs. The elements are pretty much the same on every single one (aka where the nonsense about clones coming from). However, it's not the individual elements that make an MMORPG great, but how they are mixed and interact with each other that is the key. Take two games that feature wise seem identical to each other, yet they have a different "feel", because the developers enchanced a bit one aspect over the other.
Games like Tera have a rather particular flavor, starting from the art, the way the combat feels and plays, the character development which is not based on stats and so on. If you don't like that particular mix, that's perfectly fine, not all games are meant to be liked by everyone. Not the ones that matter anyway.
TERA is not really overhyped, I hardly even seen it other than on this site and none of my MMO buddies that don´t spend time here had even heard about it when i mentioned it as one of the upcomming game.
Hype and innovation are two words people on this forum have been slapping on everything without much thought. WoW clone is a phrase that is also used without much thought process and so is grind. There are more, but I'm too tired to think about them right now.
Point is, they've been used innappropriately for so long, they have started to lose their true meaning and serve only as troll bait these days.

I have said this before, if you dont like the in game activities an MMO offers for you to improve your character it will be a grind, no matter what game you play, if you dont like questing, it will be a grind, if you dont like dynamic events it will be a grind, if you dont like PVP it will be a grind, if you dont like killing mobs it will be a grind.
Grind is the core of MMORPGs, making you grind levels, by grinding quests, by grinding mobs. Its all about are you enjoying yourself with what the game offers. Simple.
+1 To those that have never tried the game (even though access to it is easier than any game I can think of in "CBT") but continuously comment on it's content, purpose and future in the genre.

Why? The quest dynamics would be one of the easier things to change in the game. From most comments the core, or integral, parts people really like. It's the questing and progression people are complaining about.
Show and prove. Flood that forum with "your questing and progression sucks" threads and make TERA something better than what it already is. They're already adding more endgame dynamic and supposedly revamping 1~40 questing.
Oh god, I just can't take this post seriously, it has NO EXPLORING based on the island seperate from the entire rest of TERA.

I do the same thing with every new MMO. Gotta test the fields. I'm sure the world isn't as linear as people think. That was probably the first selling point of WoW for me back in the day. Once I realized that I could go just about anywhere I wanted, I subbed right away. A good MMO needs that to give players a break from the grinding, farming and yada yada.

So it happened to this thread ) It was writen to give a terrible image of Tera (that 20 mins of queu, omg why? to play an hour, why didn't you choose a lowpopulatedserver. lol isnt enough...). But on the end, became a way to express what really good it has.
I tried this weekend, just a bit, but more than an hour. And i realized Tera till lvl15 gives you some nice gaming moments. Maybe it is too much questy, playing in the sand it's cool too.
I wont give much more personal opinion, because, as i said, lvl15 it's too low to say something objective and serious. Waiting for next cb.

Funny how things work out, level 15 is where things start to open up in my opinion. By level 27 I had to clear my quest log twice because it was full, you really can choose where you want to level and what quests you want to do, which is nice and I feel that will contribute to alt replayability.
I'm sure you'll have fun with your first BAMs, only 4 days until CBT3 for me and im growing more and more impatient. Hopefully I can get more pictures and even videos for everyone this time.
well next cap is 32 so we staying in SM, that means i can spend time farming myself full gold set =D only farmed enough to get my friend his gold 2h sword last time before we wasted all the time on PvP =X My guild master predict that it will be 32/35/38 because they don't want use to go to the next contient yet before OBT.
