Beta Invites Sent Out

Also does this mean if you haven't gotten the invite you aren't in or do you think they will take a couple of days to all send out .

 

I'm guessing it's time for some good old fashion "F5'ing"

    They said themselves on fb the invites would be going out over the next few days.

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

    I can tell you right now that MMORPG.com uphold betas. I was in the alpha for FFIV and when i, eventually, made an inappropriate comment they were on it like a rash, banning posting and contacting me. I have no doubt that all news sites would uphold beta rules and supply IPs as and where needed by devs.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

    Yeah...I highly doubt ANet is watching every forum on the internet big brother style for anyone who mentions they got into the GW2 beta.  Then, when they find someone, somehow discovering their real name and banning them.

    Why do I feel like I'm going to check my email to see a letter from ArenaNet, jump up and down for joy, but open it to read:

    "We just wanted to thank you again for signing up for beta, and we made this video to show you how much we care!"

    maybe telling other people could incite riots and it's something they want to avoid.. either way it's their rules, you agree to the NDA when u get accepted i assume, so realistically you should uphold your agreement

    I did not confirm that I truly was invited into the beta. And if I was (which remains a mystery) I had not signed a NDA at the time of posting, so either way you dun goof'd jellybear.

    technically my logic isnt flawed... regardless you cant mention if you even got an acceptance email by the look of that post and thinking people would rat you out to increase their chances is naieve.. if i got an account... i wouldnt risk it at all, even if you backtrack after and say "i'm not saying i did or didnt" anet wont care about that, anet cares about their policies.. just sayin

    Again you still ignored the flawed logic. For one if I didn't get a invite and posted that shit (you don't know as no proof was presented) I am in no danger of some NDA I have not witnessed or account closure.

    For two, if I was invited I still never signed a NDA at the time of posting regardless of that post, therefor I cannot be held accountable. Good try to hate though, I appericate you being jealous. <3

    Sounds like to me you were owed one.  Ahhh....you missed the Swtor beta!  Translation, you didnt miss anything.  But now you get to try the mold breaking GW2.  Nothings better.  Much congratulations!  Really hope you enjoy it, and I hope you catch some bugs to submit. 

     

    Also to all the really smart folks who are intelligently pointing out you broke the NDA, its not an NDA violation to say you are in beta.  The NDA is non disclosure on the GAME.   Not yourself.  You're not allowed to talk about what you experienced in the game.  Saying you were invited is fine and dandy.  People do it all the time.  So also, congratulations on getting into GW2 and ALSO not breaking the NDA.    I swear, some people give me a headache.

    arenanet has said it's a breach to even say that you're in beta, in doing so can get you removed from that and any future phases

    Ya arena net goes around to a bunch of gamer sites looking for players saying they got into the beta, then attempting to figure out who they were that got invited in the first lace to ban them lol.

    err clearly you dont know arenanet, they have a strong presence in the mmo gaming community, they regularly post on sites especially guildwars2guru, do interviews with this site.. you think it would be hard for mmorpg.com to setup a filter at the request of the game? dont be naieve.. there is a whole list of people who have already been outed.. just saying, why take the chance at all?

     

    Edit - btw, they have your IP from when you signed up, finding out who you are isnt rocket science
