The Master Pack Buy Now (EUR 59.99)

The Initiate Pack Buy Now (EUR 14.99)

So how about you just read things before posting next time?

think your missing the point..all the above are choice..you dont have to purchase..not to mention why would anyone need 3 or 4 slots when one char does all.the cost of the game is about the same if not cheaper than GW2 allbeit gw2 has no sub..if you dont want to play then dont play.last time i checked wow were charging £15 for a char slot..may have changed though.the lifetime sub is reasonable..only thing that knocks me off atm is lack of info about the game.

Also funcom are notorious for charging a bit more,i'll give you that..but it all boils down to choice..its not madatory,so i dont see what the problem is.

Oh I agree that its 100% optional, and that you can just pay the normal price for the game and play it, and thats fair, my issue with this is that for a subscription based game they are throwing way too much fluff and fill out there, and it looks to me as the staging grounds for a fast conversion to F2P once they have gotten their development costs covered.

well you maybe right..but like any other company they are in it for the money.they are the ones that take the risks.has for the fluff its no different than any other game.i remember WOW selling a flying mount for £25 and there was a waiting queue for that item, its down to what people wish to purchase.has i said in my last post funcom are expensive, but not has expensive as most out there..if it goes f2p which it will at some point imo i would still sub to game if it was good enough.i dont buy any fluff items..i think they have no use at all .xp potions etc..if peeps wanna pay for them, gl to them.not me though.

yer these packages are very very off putting

    xp boost potions?

    weapon and talisman packs?

im very scared off by pay to win... it may have actually stopped me preordering seeing this

  • ZaltarkZaltark Member UncommonPosts: 437

    Atleast GW2 isnt monthly payments.

  • CaldrinCaldrin Member UncommonPosts: 4,505

I dont get why lately games prices seem to be going sky high.. at least this is better than the stupid price of the standard GW2 digital download..

Still not happy about TSW being £40 think im gonna have to wait and see if i get into beta before pre-ordering..

Also im pretty sure you will get 30 days free playtime with the standard game they would be commiting suicide if they did not include 30 days free LOL, the extra pack you can buy states it comes with an additional 30 days so that suggests you do indeed get 30 days free.

As for the potions and weapons and stuff they sound very similar to the AOC items you can buy.

Yes the potions will give you a boost in XP and allow you to lvl faster, as for the weapons in AOC they where only usefull at low lvls and you soon found better ones..

Might be totally different in this.

  • alantheceltalanthecelt Member Posts: 122

    and what's worse

if you choose to pay by paypal it bundles on 60 days playtime for an extra £20.................

so they have kind of pushed you into a credit/debit card scheme

Yeah, ok, whatever. I'm not convinced, convince me.

Tell me why I should buy this game, what are the features, what makes it so special? And don't tell me it's innovative either lol.

Their skimpy website is a concern, I see nothing that makes me want to buy it.

For the first time ever im contemplating buying the lifetime subscription..

Its not that i have blind faith in the product or think it's revolutionary, but it does look appealing enough to me to think i would benefit from it.

The artwork, more particularly, the creatures, in this game remind me of the old ,and very awesome, console game,"Onimusha" (Demon Walker). I can't find a lot of the kind of details about the world Gamers like to know. So much is....secret.  "Vampires in Paris", "Demons in basements in Seoul". I hope this pans out. A good sleeper game that catches everyone off guard is long overdue.

So how about you just read things before posting next time?

Which, if you actually read up on the game is totally not necesarry, due to the free character progression system. One character can learn all skills.

You don't need ALT's, unless you want to explore more than one faction.

Anyone know how many character slots the actual game purchase allows a customer?  Without buying extra character slots that is..

Anyone? What sets this game apart or is this just another 1-2 week time waster like everything else recently?

What has got me interested in the game is the real world fantasy setting, its somthing that I like and could enjoy getting into.

The skill based lvl system also is a big pull as well as the combat system, and of course the graphics its using the same engine as Age of Conan so will probally look amazing.

Themepark types gaems are not usually my thing but TSW is the only upcoming MMORPG that im looking forward to this year..

Is it enough for me to pre-order right now.. nope mainly because i dont like playing £40 for a game when the average price for a new game is around £30 here in the UK.. PC games anyway..

Why the heck are you asking people to convince you to buy something?  All the information you need about the game to know if you'll enjoy it or not is readily available.

So if you've looked at the game FAQ, videos, etc. and don't feel interested in getting it, then don't. *shrug*  If you decide you're interested, go for it.

Alright thanks, I agree about skill-based, love that. But what else? Their website is seriously void of decent information and I refuse to drop cash based on blingy trailers/vids anymore. I also find the game interesting on the surface but I don't see the depth factor. All I see is another 1-2 week time waster.

At least he tried, perhaps you're the one out for attention, I just want some solid info. which you're unable to provide.

    Funcom, what are you doing?

You dont need to worry, after seeing a lifestime subscription option you can pretty much know, with absolute certainty that funcom has no confidence in the longevity of their title.

There isnt one successful lifetime sub MMO out there, everyone of them, EVERYONE has failed within the year. That is just fact.
