1. You go around fighting things just because you enjoy the combat
2. You dont care about quests and just wonder around exploring
3. You want to play all races and classes because they are all very unique
4. You can level in PVP faster then you level in PVE
Comments
5. The biggest complaint the haters can make is ..."the beta has bugs!!"
Lolipops !
I agree to everything but one thing - in GW2 specifically you actually get more XP from exploring and PVE than in PVP......
i for one, once this game is fully out gonna play and explore the world as much as i can before even trying WvWvW PVP.... i know most of you disagree - but FU - i am intitled to my opinion (kidding - only F*&* if you want to...)
Shai
Just my 2 cents...
Doesnt most of this apply to just about all MMO?
and for number 4, PvE is far faster than PvP.

100% spot on.

Don't agree with 1, but then I'm tired of the tab-targeting / hotbar MMO combat, so personal preference there.
I agree with 2, GW2 has a world and feel to it that makes me want to explore, something I've not experienced since Vanguard launch or DAoC before that.
I partially agree with 3, I did try them all, but found I just didn't like most of them. Each one just felt... off, for me, except the Thief and Guardian, which were great.
4 could be true, but WvW was always full when I tried to get into it and the scenarios/battlegrounds didn't give experience.
Over all I found the game to be solid and enjoyable, though I think it has quite a few flaws where it has tried to deviate from MMO norm and not quite got it right. It's close, but not there yet.
Funny enough this is the first beta i have ever participated in, wherein the chat was surprisingly civil - granted, the chat-channels were not buzzing with activity but not once did i see players trash-talk the game or the mentioning of other MMOs in an effort to drive hope a random point.
Actually, the only genuine negativity i've seen is on the various forums.

I don't know if I disagree with point 3.
Essentially a good mmo(rpg) would want you to dedicate yourself to your character and not make you re-roll. I suppose you can look at it two ways.
Anyway just to contribute: You know the MMO is good when a class called a Guardian is fucking awesome.
Well its not a bad MMO thats for sure one of the better themeparks on the market but its nothing super special and certainly does not live up to the super hype its had...
But thats just how i feel after playing over the last few closed beta tests.. glad it didnt pay the silly £50 price tag they are asknig here in the UK thats for sure
i personally found pvp to be really slow compared to lvling while doing quests and events. It is beta and I hope they do find a way to increase the speed of leveling in pvp. I did find that making money was made at a decent pace with both pve and WvW though. I'm looking foward to the next BWE since I have pre-purchased my copy just based on my experience from this past bwe. I'm not impressed with the graphics but that doesn't matter since my overall experience in game after was enjoyable.
All MMOS biggest complaint is bugs. Everything else falls to personal like and dislikes.
sorry but ... GW2 is everything except tab targetting ..
You don't even have to click on your enemies anymore ...

Fixed it for ya.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
Its semi tab targetting. You do not have to at all and hit all the targets you need to if they are in front of you. Tab targetting forces your attacks in a specific direction within your front cone, but still can hit someone else....like an arrow going towards your target but someone gets in the way and hits them instead.
2. You cant really just explore...If you wander into a zone 3 or so levels above you, you will get destroyed. I thought this game would be different in this regard, but it is like any other MMO. Gated until you outlevel the zone. Only, the dynamic events continue to happen over and over, rather than doing different quests each time.
4. Because every game needs PVP. PVE is what drives games. PVP is an alternate playstyle.
This is very important.
Creating completely scaling lvl content is big big mistake.
Something TES Oblivion made , back in the day.
In RPG you need to feel progression. Thats why you have higher and lower lvl content
You spread so much misinformation it is unreal. Tell me which game this is true other than Warhammer please. It sure wasn't in Rift, it sure isn't in WoW.
8. when once you play it every other game feels shallow and uninteresting.
It is the breath of freash air after choking on stagnant air for so, so long. I have been buying pretty much every mmo or downloading the FTP ones since they ruined my beloved SWG seven years ago. NONE of them felt at all like home until GW2. Between this and D3, I will not need to buy another game for the rest of the year or longer.

LOL insta lv80 when entering pvp
Maybe for you. Even when I was new to WoW, I never had a 10th of the desire to explore or fight for the sake of fighting that I did in GW2 over just one weekend.
This was the first beta since 2004 where I did NOT see constant (and I mean CONSTANT) comparisons being made to WoW.
And I've been in a LOT of betas.
That right there is enough "proof" for me.
