Wait what? I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about lol.

The stamina guage. The one that starts out at 120% right in the middle of your screen. I'm assuming if you've played before, you've seen it. As you earn xp from monsters, it decreases. At 0%, you no longer gain exp until you "rest" by a campfire for an extended period of time. It's like rested xp in other games, but reverse.

no.  stamina affects how much hp you have.  you stand by a campfire to replenish it.  has no affect on the amount of xp you earn.  if you wanna be a douche, just for the hell of it then go ahead, but no matter how much you want to tiptoe, you should just go full on dick and not kid yurself. look up some info before you post about a game you obviously have no idea about.  go eat some more sausage.

Ok so I was wrong, Sue me. That's why I asked about it. I'd still like to know how long you have to "rest" at these campfires before your normal HP level returns, as that's still a huge handicap. I don't want to have to stop playing in the middle of my day off just because TERA tells me to. If it's only a few minutes, then thats no big deal. If it's a few hours, that's different.

I updated my earlier post with the actual conditions affected by stamina. You only go below 20% in realistic conditions if you die. Your stamina seems to replenish in a campfire by 1% every 3 seconds or so. Thats about 5 minutes from death to full. There are however potions that can bump your stamina to max and NPCs in settlements that you can pay to have it restored.

Thanks X, you seem to know quite a bit about this game. I appreciate the information rather than rudeness.

Here is a video I found clearly indicating how fast you gain stamina while sitting next to a portable campfire:

it's awesome how you try to be civil, after someone calls you out for hating.  at least you've come to realize how prickish you've sounded in yur posts. :)  it feels great to inform another gamer.  cheers. :)

I'm civil with people who are civil towards me. Xas has provided information, rather than insults. The things I don't like about TERA are valid, because they are opinions. The reason I post here, is because I want to make an informed purchase if I'm going to be paying a box + a sub fee.

I could look it up online, but most information online is old and from when Ktera first released, which is what gave me the horrible impressesions about this game in the first place. I apologize for not wanting to waste my money on another WoW clone, but it appears that's not what TERA is about.

Yea, I've been there. And? You think I am going to get unbiased information on a website trying to sell their game? The questions I'm asking aren't answered there. I've looked through the FAQs, and the Ask Tera or w/e it is. Sometimes there are answers, sometimes there aren't.

Your base stamina after getting rested in a campfire is 120%. This can go up to 135% (3 times 5% bonus) from getting gathering buffs.

Also, as a general note, some people are a bit too touchy with their game preferences (which is unreasonable in my opinion). At this point in time Tera forum dwellers are not the worst offenders.

The funny thing is that if you go full defensive over a game, you give the impression you have something to hide. Some games warrant such a reaction, others don't.

Quests in TERA is EXACTLY like Rift-SWTOR-WOW after Cata and other AAA mmorpgs. If you cant afford this quest system from the other games more then you will not afford the quest system in TERA.The art style is not very much of an asian style like Aion and there IS a similar "Rift" system at end game.
